> Li's got a lot of catch-up to match the NORK medals...

I've found that picture (and similar ones) kind of hard to believe. I mean, medals on your pant leg???

War is bad for business and the top generals are wealthy.

Those NORK Generals would get promoted at Chotchkie's.   Brian only had 37 pieces of flair.

Hmmm, lets hope that’s the case.

Works for me. I have no reason to think the General will be more humane than Xi but the dictator for life concept has led to poor decision making in Russia, China and elsewhere. Time for CCP to select a new leader.

Or they never heard of using a ribbon to replace a medal on a dress uniform.

SO much fake garbage in US/UK media that is regurgitated on this site, this being one of tens of thousands of examples.

“Meaning this General might be more hard line and wants to invade Taiwan right now and Xi Jinping might have been holding him off.”

Or he could be free of the legacy of Chairman Mao and decide that his own imperial dynasty was more important and make peace.

I could be wrong this time and have been wrong many times in the past, but it appears to me that non-ideological dictatorships are often more interested in maintaining power than expanding borders. (See Suharto in Indonesia, Bashear in Syria, Lee in Singapore, Marcos in the Philippines, Pinochet in Peru. And even Saddam Hussein for a long time in Iraq.)

A general might not want to Beijing as it glows in the dark. That is where the CCP is headed.

What you suggest is just as possible as what I suggested, you have to wonder how the Biden Administration is monitoring the situation, if at all.

Kim Jong-un had that passive-aggressive talk with is Generals and they’re taking no chances.

LOL! Foreign policy experts are as rare around here as they are in Washington.

The true Unicorns are foreign policy experts who are not on the payroll (directly or indirectly) of the military industrial complex.
