Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on Monday in Moscow, Belarus state media reported.
Russia and Belarus are close allies, with Russia having used bases in Belarus as a staging post for its troops, aircraft and equipment in the invasion of Ukraine.

What's even funnier is that Lukashenko lectured Putin yesterday in Sochi on how Putin should handle his botched mobilization. Funny and sad, too.

Lukashenko advises Putin on the botched mobilization and what to do with the thousands of Russian men fleeing the country.

The potato? Yes. The other one, no.
What a lovely couple!
⚔️⚔️⚔️The New York Times writes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering heavy losses in the southern direction. On condition of anonymity, the APU fighter said that during the recent attack, his unit lost 50 people in 2 hours. Another serviceman said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost hundreds of people while trying to capture the village occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. All because of the lack of artillery preparation and ammunition. The leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has no choice but to send their fighters to the “slaughter”. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Ever hear of coordination? You might want to look at the rapidly deteriorating situation and ask what tomorrow’s escalation is going to bring rather than attempting to crack wise about this. “Botched mobilization”? I love the way you guys go running, screaming the latest media masters’ disinfo. You have zero credibility making that totally unsubstantiated claim. Guaranteed Putin will have his 300,000 additional soldiers. You’re peddling the big guy’s, and every lying media master’s BS AGAIN. After six months of constantly proven western disinfo don’t you ever get tired of being lied to?
Botched mobilization.
What a toadie that guy is...
Supposedly yesterday in Sochi, Lukashenko told Putin that he wouldn’t send Belarus troops to Ukraine, even if Putin declares war later this week. So Putin dragged him along to Moscow today to change Luka’s mind.
Sounds about right. Putin desperately needs to reopen that northern front against Kyiv but no longer has the troops or equipment to do it.
If Belarus joins the fight it will be short-lived, because there will be a rejection within Belarus that will likely end up with a coup to remove Lukashenko. Belorussians pretty much want to stay out of this fight.
Lukashenko is obligated by treaty to send troops if Putin declares war.
They are not close allies, Belarus is a puppet state dancing to Russia’s tune.
“Lukashenko is obligated by treaty to send troops if Putin declares war.”
Hence, my comment that it would be short-lived. No one in Belarus wants to get involved in this thing; except, perhaps, a handful of nuts.
