Voting at gunpoint: Moment soldiers armed with assault rifles 'force residents to cast their vote in 'sham' referendum in Russian occupied regions of Ukraine'
Daily Mail ^ | 9/25/2022 | Tom Brown

The Kremlin appears to have sent soldiers to force Ukrainians to vote in its staged referendums at gunpoint, according to residents who say troops came to their homes in occupied territories to enforce the 'vote'.

'My family was just forced to vote at gunpoint in Russian cosplay of a "referendum” in southern Ukraine,' said Maxim Eristavi, journalist and co-founder of Hromadske International, a broadcasting station in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian journalist posted a video purporting to show armed soldiers entering the hallways where his family live and forcing them to vote in favour of joining Russia.

Western countries have accused Russia of staging illegitimate referendums in Ukraine as a pretext for annexing parts of its neighbour.

Kyiv called out the exercise as a bare-faced attempt by Russia to hold on to occupied territory now threatened by the Ukrainian army's counter-offensive.

Eristavi added that his family members were also forced to take part in the same exercises in Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014 — in an attempt to fool foreign audiences into thinking the voting was free and fair.

Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Crimea are all Ukrainian regions at least partially under Russian occupation where the referendums are being held — with the results fixed by Moscow.

Russian state media said the armed guards enforcing the door-to-door voting are there for 'security'.

More countries prevented from joining the 4th Reich, the better off the world will be in the long run. Hopefully. The more countries now in the 4th Reich zone that leave the better too. It would sadden and alarm a globalist stooge like you. A good outcome

Socialism: “Do what you are told or we will arrest you”
Communism: “Do what you are told or we will kill you”

RASHISM: “Fascist: combines Russian & fascism. Rashist describes followers of Putin military expansionist ideology in this 21st century Russian government. Or, a label for describing the Russian undemocratic system and cult of Putkin with ultra-nationalism.

Rashism represents the base of the Russian idea for their “special national mission”:
1- Moscow as the third Rome and expansionism;
2- Anti-Westernism supporting the regaining ‘Imperial lands’ thru conquest.
3- In the form of letter Z, the St George yellow & black ribbon is also associated with Rashism comparable to the fascist swastika (called zwastika)
The term “Rashist” is used to identify members of the Russian Armed Forces. The term also is used by scholars, politicians and writers to describe the political ideology and social practices under Vladimir Putin.

That’s terrible, but what does that have to do with people in Donetsk identifying as Russian?

The people in Donetsk identifying as Russian voted for an INDEPENDENT Ukraine. That was just manufactured propaganda to facilitate Putin’s pattern of “Transnistrian” policy controls ‘zones’ of frozen conflicts in Moldova (Transnistria region), Georgia (Abkhazia and South Ossetia), and in Ukraine annexed Crimean peninsula and the Donbas.

Russia uses this wider pattern of created separatist conflicts to create corruption and criminality as ‘Trojan horses’ to block progress in reform-minded periphery countries. This is the Russian tactics part of their geopolitical strategy creating conflict zones to prevent countries from entering NATO and integrating into the European Union.

CONFLICTS created by Russia is part of Russia imperialistic plan to regain strategic points of its LOST EMPIRE. Check out comment #78.

Also, Opposition to secession from Ukraine and annexation by Russia (the combined percentage for the people opting for the options of “Rather, no” and “Certainly, no found that, overall, 69% of southerners and 53% of easterners supported Ukraine remaining as a independent, unitary state; and only 2% of southerners and 4% of easterners supported separatism.

Are you seriously going to argue that a rejection in 2008 into NATO membership somehow dissuades Russian concerns that new leadership could change that equation? Russians do not depend on foreign actors for their security.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-warns-nato-any-move-ukraine-will-have-consequences-report-2021-10-21/

None of those countries listed were actual Russian territories, and calling Turkey a member of NATO that would honor its commitments is laughable. They are NATO in name only.

Finally, if you do not believe nations have strategic red lines, you have not spent a day in the industry. They absolutely do, and any possibility of Ukraine joining NATO, crosses it. Absent NATO membership, even US-Ukrainian collusion threatens the Russian strategy to (1) control the flow of commodities (food/fuel), (2) erode NATO cohesion and growth (3) create a new trading block that eliminates the dollar.

You are looking at this problem through Western eyes. Try looking at the problem through Russian eyes. You are absolutely ignoring the fact that Russia will have 15% of Ukraine next week, codified in Russian law. That is not an emotional argument. It doesn’t care about the morality of the means by which the end is achieved.

It is what it is.

“None of those countries listed were actual Russian territories”

You miss the point!
Putin argued he felt threatened by having a NATO nation on his border: Putin created a ‘counterfeit’ red-line.

The people in Donetsk identifying as Russian voted for an INDEPENDENT Ukraine. Putin manufactured propaganda to facilitate his pattern of “Transnistrian” policy ofcontrols ‘zones’ of frozen conflicts in Moldova (Transnistria region), Georgia (Abkhazia and South Ossetia), and NOW in the Ukraine annexed Crimean peninsula and the Donbas.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE

Russia uses this wider pattern of created separatist conflicts to create corruption and criminality as ‘Trojan horses’ to block progress in reform-minded periphery countries. This is the Russian tactics part of their geopolitical strategy creating conflict zones to prevent countries from entering NATO and integrating into the European Union.

CONFLICTS created by Russia is part of Russia imperialistic plan to regain strategic points of its LOST EMPIRE.

LAW
1. NATURAL LAW (Latin: lex naturalis) has A law is set by nature and therefore has validity everywhere [refers to the use of reason to analyze human nature and deduce binding rules of moral behavior.]

2. POSITIVE LAW has nothing to do with justice &
actually may represent STRONG INJUSTICE in dictatorships, i.e.dictatorships [Russia]

*** MOST IMPORTANTLY, positive law is “law actually and specifically enacted or adopted by statutes, codes, and regulations that have been enacted by a legislature for that government. MEANING, only applicable to Russia & not legal law for another nation or the world for that matter.

You state “This is not an emotional argument. It doesn’t care about the morality of the means by which the end is achieved.”

***You absolutely ignorE the fact that Russia will OCCUPY Ukraine codified only by Russian law. Again, RUSSIAN LAW IS ONLY CODIFIED FOR RUSSIA!!!

IN BOLDER WORDS, PUTIN DOES NOT RULE THE WORLD!

Why are you getting emotional about this? There is no emotion involved to understand what Russia is doing.

We don’t determine what Russias red lines are. Russians determine what they are. And I already told you Ukraine has a special significance if it went NATO: control of commodities and maritime lines of communication. It’s different than other countries strategically. Why are you having a problem with that?

I could give two shits what the Donetsk people want, or what propaganda was manufactured. I am looking (let me say this one last time) through a Russian viewpoint. I don’t argue the morality, I argue the reality of what is happening.

Russia doesn’t care about anything other than their laws. Positive? Natural? Really? Political power comes out of the barrel of a gun. Four provinces will be annexed and they will be a part of the Russian Federation. In rapid fashion. Once the results are sent to Putin for signature, it’s done. From a Russian viewpoint, it will be enforced as if those provinces are a part of Russia. If that means nukes, then that is what that means. His newly minted 300K conscripts will be trained and deployed in about 2 months.

When winter hits, Europe will be in no condition to do anything about it because their countries will be starving and freezing to death. Not that they would anyway.

Why do you want to look at things through the perspectives of Russia? Russia is immoral, corrupt, and incompetent. Ukraine, a one-time-zone country is kicking the teeth out of the eleven-time-zone country. And oh by the way Russia us a sworn enemy of America and Russia is making war against its own people.

Yes.

Look at the timeline

April 2008, Georgia and Ukraine applications to start joining NATO are rejected by Germany and France for fear of “provoking Russia”

August , Russia invades Georgia.

Conclusion: if you aren’t a member of NATO and you are Russia’s neighbour, then Russia will invade you.

This is not through western eyes, this is what is
Logically apparent.

Ukraine ‘shells’ occupied areas amid vote
9/26/22

“Voting in internationally criticised referendums for four Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories to become part of Russia has continued into its third day despite shelling by Ukrainian forces. ...”

https://www.yarrawongachronicle.com.au/world/ukraine-shells-occupied-areas-amid-vote/

2/3

This shelling during voting explains the presence of Russian soldiers in numerous voting areas. Why would Russians need to force people to vote?

The presence of troops in the voting areas would allay the fears of people voting they would be voting unprotected in case of Ukrainian troops attacking them, or attempting to arrest them, especially so if any voting areas were close(r) to the battle lines.

The rised hand vote in Kosovo in 2008 for independence wasn’t even close to a referendum (which is taking place in Donetsk, Luhansk, etc) went against the Serbian constitution, thus was without the permission of Serbian authorities, and yet was hastily accepted by the west/NATO/EU.

2008 isn’t 2021. Nor was it the same US administration.

Please don’t think international relations are stagnant. That is objectively false.
And yes, Russia will invade neighbors. Never said they have not, nor they wouldn’t.

Russia will control a commodities-based economy. They will not be dependent on a globalist financial services economy. Ukraine is part of that equation, as well as put the world on notice it will not accept expanded NATO membership that would interfere with its strategic maritime interest.

All of this is ridiculously plain to see.
