The late-blooming 2022 Atlantic Tropical Storm season is making up for lost time. A tropical system has developed in the Central Caribbean Sea. This storm system is forecast to threaten continental U.S. interests next week. While the tropical wave passed south of a key geographic area known as Hebert's Box #1, it will very likely pass through Hebert's Box #2. These boxes are useful as predictors of hurricanes that will strike South Florida. For more information about Hebert's Boxes, see Hebert Box. See graphic below which illustrated the Hebert's Boxes.

Have some family near Tampa. They were braced, prepped & ready (they even have an inflatable raft), but turns out they’re fine - they never lost power.

That is some major flooding!!!
Thank you
We have now made a family pact that if there is a hurricane in the eastern gulf they will get out of town. They have sturdy construction plenty of supplies and hurricane shutters but it’s the aftermath i worry about most for them
Thank you. Fortunately they were well prepared but in the future we will avoid the situation altogether
Yes, as someone who has helped isolated family in the aftermath of a hurricane, it is gut wrenching and difficult to try to get help to others when there’s barely a way in or out. People become desperate. It was a horrendous ordeal for my brother and SIL 5 years ago. Communication was limited, too, but time was of the essence. I wouldn’t want to visit those circumstances on anybody. Way better off safe than sorry.
Yesterday's weather in CNY was strange. It felt like spring filled with spring showers. Sky was super clear blue with thick clouds, sun was shinning. Then it would sprinkle. Made no sense. Someone's weather machine needed adjusting.
Thank you, FRiend. Your warm sentiments are appreciated!
My power was restored around 12:30 today. As of right now, there is still approximately 24k without power.
Gov. DeSantis just said these are rumors. Search and rescue have only been out since this morning, and they have lots of ground to cover.
Let’s hope the rumors are a great exaggeration.
Now the Hurricane is coming for me tomorrow.
Please stay safe
