I hope DeSantis does not have to make that decision. I am hoping for a Trump run. IF Trump does not run, then yes, I would vote for DeSantis.
I had it explained to me very early in the 2016 primary season by someone who was an ardent Trump supporter:
I saw a TV news report about the Republican candidates arriving at the city where a debate was going to be held. When the chartered jets arrived at the airport carrying losers like Jeb Bush and John Kasich, the first question I asked myself was: "Who paid for those airplanes?" When the jet arrived with 'TRUMP' in giant letters on it, I never had to ask myself that question.

“You are looking like the first group. We lost already why bother.” So others with more grit will have to carry on and save those who don’t have the grit. We vote, we get involved in safeguarding the validity of the votes and we call out the corruption. We keep doing those things until we are dead.
I can’t go there with you Mayflower Madam. Your analysis is flawed. Those people would never have helped Trump because his success would have put an end to their graft and parasitism. Calling them out was Trump’s greatest gift to America. It was uncomfortable but as the scales fell from long dimmed eyes Americans have awoken & pushed back.
You can’t go along with the old boy network without betraying the American people. It’s not a question of how nicely you point out the cheating and double dealing. The cheaters & double dealers will still move to destroy you.
If you are being mugged (and the American people are and were being mugged) you yell as loud as you can and speak up about what’s being done. This is truly a fight to the death. Anyone not up to speed on that has not been watching the left trying to destroy the America way of life & Americans.

Sounds good to me. Trump was a wonderful president, but is now loaded up with so much negative publicity, I’m not sure he could win again. Doesn’t matter whether the negatives are true or not.
The “American media” never destroyed anyone and their family this bad before in the history of America. This is a Snowflake and Baby Killers Gone Wild “historic” first.
I only said that because you complained about Kemp stealing the election. Stacy Abrams has always said that as well. And I believe Kemp better steal the election this time or get it out right legally. I honestly don’t care which.
You think Trump has bad publicity? Wait until the Dems and the MSM train their sites on DeSantis. We’re already starting to see some of the rumblings. He’s starting to get pushback for using Florida tax payer money to fly illegals from TEXAS to Martha’s Vinyard, not from Florida as most had assumed. That was an unforced error on DeSantis’s part. But the point is, when the media decides to create a scandal, they’ll create a “scandal” whether something wrong was done or not. When the media decides to focus on DeSantis, he won’t stand a chance.
But they’re likely to go relatively easy on him until he either beats Trump for the nomination or loses to him. If he beats Trump his usefulness to them will be over and they will attack him relentlessly. He won’t stand a chance.

I think DeSantis is more valuable as governor than president at the moment.
He’s a bigger thorn in the left’s side by being a rogue (not part of the system) politician at the state level that at the federal.
He has the backing of the FL legislative branch, which, unless we win the House and Senate at the federal level, he would not have. That would effectively hobble DeSantis. Sure, he could do the EO thing to a degree, but unless the legislature is on board with his, he will be fighting an uphill battle at the federal level, just like Trump did.
I like having DeSantis setting the example to the other 49 governors of what a politician with integrity and manhood is like. It sets the bar high, where it should be.
