We all hope so. There should be NO BAD BLOOD between the two of them.

The VP spot is only a make work spot for the lazy like Mike Pence. DeSantis is too smart, has too gifts and drive to allow him to coast for four years. Trump knows this and would give DeSantis free reign to take on tough assignments and drain the swamp. Concurrently, Trump would be mentoring DeSantis on foreign affairs and help him gear up for his 2028 run.

Kemp better win. Last thing any state needs a Stacey Abrams. I can’t believe that you would even support her. How gross.

You’re not looking at true Pro-American Presidents vs. the rest.

Truly pro-American Presidents are wildly popular but they are rare.

Reagan was truly pro-American, wildly popular, and his VP, Bush, a shoe-in for the next presidency.

1st-term Trump was truly pro-American, wildly popular, and his VP, Pence, a shoe-in for the 2024 presidency.

One good thing about the screwed-up 2020 election was it outed Pence.

So if you don’t make the distinction between truly pro-American visionary Presidents vs. the ho-hum rest, you’re missing it.

Trump’s VP will be a very big deal and will be the favorite for the 2028 election, so he better damn well be a true American Patriot who’s ready to do battle with the treasonous Left.

Let's ignore what happened in 2020. Pay attention to Trump's age. He will be 78 in 2024.

I'm 73 and there might be exceptions but I don't think we should elect anybody over 70. At that age you never know what kind of medical problem you might experience.

Exactly. And everyone touting this combination seems to discount the problems caused by both President and Vice President residing in the same state. Who gets to move? Or can they throw away those Electoral Votes?

I desperately want President Trump 47 for a "Get even with the Bastards - Make America Great Again tour de force!" 50-D094-EB-404-E-47-F5-BA14-1-C2-ED572265-F

If you want him running for Pres in 2024, Crist needs to beat him.

If Ron DeSantis somehow loses to Charlie Crist, he's finished with elective politics. He'll never run for anything again.

I'd also add that DeSantis losing, and we'll know early as Florida tends to count their votes quickly, would be the harbinger for a massive GOP catastrophe across the board. Everyone with an (R) after their name would be in serious trouble. We'd be looking at a Blue Wave midterm sweep.

At that point, it wouldn't really matter who runs in '24. There wouldn't be much left.

If Trump decides to NOT run, DeSantis would step up to the plate, I’m sure. If he did, he’d be the guy to beat.

The donations support the family operating the site and without that support the site will disappear so it seems to me imperative to provide younger people a reason to financially support the site.

We boomers are on our way out and right now we are the primary financial support. That can’t and won’t go on forever, obviously.

If nothing changes, this site will probably last until 2030 or so. The youngest Baby Boomer will turn 66 by then. The site will still take in donations but by then, will it be worth the time and effort to run the site? Maybe not. If that's the case, it's been a heck of a run, that's for sure.

That’s the difference between Trump and DeSantis supporters. Every DeSantis supporter on this site, including myself, has pledged to vote for Trump if he secures the GOP nomination, while so many Trump supporters are going to stomp their feet like petulant children and throw their away their votes to the Democrat.

True, and it makes you wonder if (or better yet why) those saying that consider Trump’s fate more important than America’s fate…

It’s real simple. DeSantis is reliant on big money corporate donors and is therefore beholden to them and always will be. Trump is not. Quibbling about “DeSantis is better on this issue or that issue” is meaningless. DeSantis is controlled. DeSantis is managed. And when the donors who own him decide it’s time for him to change course, he will.

His Establishment donors are letting him play a part of a MAGA conservative now in order to position him to be the Trump alternative in 2024. Don’t confuse an act with the real thing.

Dems have already trained their artillery on the spot DeSantis will be standing if he wins the nomination. They are also hoping for a lot of sh** slinging between the two. But I hope none of that will happen.

Don’t kid yourself, dude. The guy has worked in government all his life, and only got to where he is now by doing what he’s told by his political masters and financial backers. In politics, that’s an “establishment tool” by definition.
