...now control the eastern bank of the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region, while Moscow continues to launch attacks against civilian infrastructure in Ukraine following its military setbacks in the country’s east.
Strategic Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces posted a video on social media on Sunday that appeared to show an armored vehicle crossing the river, along with the message, “Ukraine controls the left bank.”
The claim suggests Ukraine’s push east is continuing after its forces seized about 3,500 square miles of territory in the northeastern Kharkiv region in a lightning offensive earlier this month that put Moscow on the back foot.
Ukrainian troops are now within about 20 miles of the Luhansk region, which Moscow captured months ago and whose seizure the Kremlin has repeatedly called one of its priorities for the war in Ukraine.
....Russian forces, meanwhile, established a new defensive line between the river and the town of Svatove in the Luhansk region over the weekend, according to the British ministry of defense. The ministry said Russia would likely defend the area aggressively after suffering a swift rout in the Kharkiv region, allowing Ukrainian forces to seize huge swaths of land in just a few days.
Battlefield setbacks have continued for Moscow. The British Ministry of Defense said Russia had lost at least four combat jets in Ukraine within the last 10 days, for a total loss of around 55 jets since the start of the invasion.

The thousands of Russian neo-nazis marching in this video were not stopped by the government, because their extremism is something Putin and his top aides support.
Enjoy your blissful adventure.
#43. Informed or not the Putinists bloodlust and nutbaggery is as subtle as a KISS concert. I miss the old days when the standard of crazy was LaRouche, 9/11 conspiracies and Debka.
A Pole who loves Ukrainians so much he thinks about their well being night and day. You love Germans too. Were your forbears Polish patriots or Nazi stooges? Hence the love fest. You are obseessed about the idea that a nation like Ukraine must be a victim if it is invaded. Do you think Lebanon is a victim if it is invaded by Israel? Was Serbia a victim? Libya? Iraq? What is so special about Ukraine to you?
PLEASE can you people come up with new lines?? These are getting VERY old...
Hit a nerve? Call Soros. Maybe he'll send you some Pamprin.
Butterfly bomblets have nothing to do with destroying civilian infrastructure, either.
Graphite bombs' purpose is essentially to short stuff out and trip protective systems or trigger safety shutdowns at electric power installations. If the safety systems are inadequate or malfunction, more permanent damage can occur, as with storm damage, but, that is not the intention.
In GW 2, two strafing attacks with 20mm cannon, outside the US ROE, disabled two Iraqi transformer stations in the same area, at slightly different times. I attempted to research this and apparently it is unknown if the pilot was identified and disciplined for going outside the ROE. All other identified US attacks on electrical infrastructure apparently used graphite (carbon fiber) bombs.

I am more curious about the Putinistas’ definition of “Nazi”. It seems to be rather broad...
The Geneva Convention disagrees.
Thanks for that mention. I’ll check it out.
Well, wait, now this seems to be an item of hot contention....
OTOH:
This very closely parallels my asking around of friends and acquaintances.
Conservative Republicans are somewhat more likely than liberal and moderate Republicans to say that the U.S. is providing too little support to Ukraine (40% vs. 24%).
There are many international sources available. If what seems to be a source with a dim view of the US (many of the Indian media, for example) expresses concern or questions about Russian progress, or complains about US support of Ukraine, that’s a good clue.
Then again, the Russian’s are pretty easy to see through. Remember when they withdrew from Kyiv? “A gesture of goodwill” and 20 other types of obvious baloney. So, if they say tomorrow that they “strategically repositioned”, it’s a pretty safe bet they got their butts kicked out.
Events have shown the Ukies to be reasonably truthful on things like towns retaken, etc. (allowing for some occasional deliberate misdirection aimed at Russia), but they don’t like to admit the cost of the gains. Individual Ukie soldiers and commanders are sometimes quite candid about the challenges they face. Even ex-Pres. Poroshenko is a crook no doubt, but I was stunned at how direct he was about his and his street brigade’s situation in the early days, with a massive Russian convoy headed toward Kyiv: He was matter of factly listing the paltry light weapons his “brigade” had left, and not even really complaining about it, just thanking the US for the handful of “100% effective” Javelins they’d used up.
Last, satellite images from original sources are usually valid, as fakes are run down quickly. (If nothing else, give everything a week to “settle out”.)
3. Does this include schools and hospitals full of civilians?.
You are nuts!
Ukraine has no problems whatsoever shelling, firing rockets, etc. into schools and hospitals, so yeah.
Also, if military units take up positions within a hospital or school and start lobbing shells, etc. from them, do they not cease being off limits?
The real and actual nuts are you knuckleheads that assert otherwise.
Thx for that comment. Helpful.
Right, cranko?
Again, my proof for what today’s neo-Nazi and Neo-Nazism is has been given which you knuckleheads have yet to disprove in any way shape or form other than with strawman arguments and BS like ‘Russia was ALLIED with Germany in WWII.
Non-aggression agreement and an agreement to partition Poland between then Germany and Russia is in no way shape or form an ‘alliance’.
You and your knucklehead cohorts are living proof to all of us that the education system blows ass.
Does the Kremlin consider Tuvans as Nazis?
