A new NBC News poll shows Donald Trump's favorability rating as 34 percent.
Meanwhile President Joe Biden's job approval rating ticked up to 45 percent.
Donald Trump's approval rating has sunk to its lowest point since April 2021, a new poll suggests on Sunday, just days after the ex-president announced two new campaign events for candidates he's endorsed in the midterms.
The tides appear to be shifting there too, the NBC News survey suggests, with Republicans and Democrats now deadlocked in Congressional preferences after months of GOP dominance.
Trump is fresh off of one of his signature Make America Great Again rallies on Saturday night. He was in Youngstown, Ohio to stump for Senate candidate JD Vance as well as three hopefuls for the House of Representatives.
But Sunday's NBC News poll suggests that his appeal may be fading across the country, even despite a recent boost in support seen in other surveys since the FBI's Mar-a-Lago raid.
Thirty-four percent of respondents said they view Trump positively, while 54 percent said the opposite.
In a nod to his divisive nature, the two largest shares of voters said they view him 'very' negatively and 'very' positively at 46 and 20 percent, respectively.
It comes on the heels of the former president announcing two more rallies in the next two weeks, signaling an uptick in his campaign appearances.

How heavy did DNBC oversample Dems?
Well, that’s not gonna happen with silly political polls.
My point may have been nuanced. Let me be a bit more direct: The stuff this poll is saying is likely fairly accurate. Blindly dismissing the bad news because you don’t agree with it is a formula for failure. Accept that it may be true, and address a solution.
The other day I saw an article where Trump predicted 9/11 when he was 22. His FR cult followers are now trying to present him as a prophet. Next he will be giving the blind their sight.
It’s ridiculous to ignore the fact that while his followers are loyal and dedicated…a large part of the country doesn’t like the guy.
Anyway, he is too old to be anything but a former President.
More BS Democrat polls.
Yeah, OK.
There is a lot of middle ground between "Trump fans" and Trump haters" into which a lot of voters fall. Those are the people you're trying to persuade.
You should care what they think if you want Trump to win in 2024.
And the DM ran with it...
I hope you will still vote for him if he wins another nomination. And I hope he picks a better VP this time, it's more important at his age.
I do think there is a strong possibility he won't run.
Your say your post may have been nuanced: (My point may have been nuanced. Let me be a bit more direct: The stuff this poll is saying is likely fairly accurate. Blindly dismissing the bad news because you don’t agree with it is a formula for failure.) Mine was not. If you can’t read the internals don’t depend on the analysis whether good, bad or indifferent.
80+ percent of folks already know who they would vote for in 24... if Trump runs.
I would value your opinion on who would make a better-than-last-time VP choice for Trump 24. In regard to attracting some of those undecided folk.
That's true, but the election will be decided by that remaining 20%. As annoying as some of those wishy-washy swing voters are, their votes matter.

Well, if the goal is political appeal, I think a female probably would have the best shot, but it's early. Maybe the women all do something dumb between now and then, and some guy looks like a better choice when the summer of 2024 rolls around.
It's an election we must win.
Think what you want.
I did this shit for years. And you are acting like those managers—picking nits about the questions.
In general, the trends are not looking good for the Donald. And that makes me happy. No more fossils in charge.
“You should care what they think if you want Trump to win in 2024.?
I care, but that doesn’t make any difference.
Well, I’d agree that what we say here really doesn’t mean squat. But if you’re having a discussion with someone (ultimately pointless though it may be), it’s only decent to acknowledge obvious truths - like the votes of people who may not think as we do still count the same.
...and yet, somehow he’s become a king maker.
nice
I too will vote for Trump if he is nominated, but I have no illusions that he can win.
