Once upon a time comedy was meant to make you laugh by poking fun at real life things. Things that may offend, and while most people laughed it off, it has become blasphemy to even consider talking about such things in today’s woke society. “Wokeness” has started to creep into the world by extreme Leftists, and real comedy has become a thing of the past.
Saturday Night Live is a prime example, and if you thought it couldn’t get anymore woke, think again.
The show added its first ever nonbinary cast member to the lineup who will make regular appearances every weekend.
Actor Molly Kearney will join SNL for its 48th season, meaning it’s time to say goodbye to the show we once knew.
Kearney rejects the gender “binary” and does not identify as a man nor a woman, but instead opts for gender-neutral pronouns instead.
This comes after a mass exodus of actors who were longtime characters on the show left. Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney have all decided to move on, however it is unclear why they decided to go.
From Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump to Jim Carey’s Joe Biden, almost every show has someone impersonating a political figure, usually aimed at bashing the Right.

I remember SNL.
I remember that skit clearly, and thought it slightly strange at the time.
“Saturday Night Live is still on the air???????”
Only a liberal wasteland show could last that long.
Their ratings will bomb.
They did quite a job on Gerald Ford too.
SNL left me years ago! Never looked back!
You forgot Adam Carolla.
Lorne Michaels destroyed that stupid show ages ago. He deserves a good swift kick in the nuts for all the anti- conservative liberal garbage they’ve pedaled all those years.
Impossible! Nuttin’ there to kick!
“They had one funny skit years ago with the talking Trump-dog.”
Yes occasionally they will have a good skit here and there. Even the classic SNL shows did not always have good skits. Some of them were just crap - particularly in the first season.
SNL has always been uneven and one would have to sit through stupid stuff for the gems which were hysterical back in the day. I might do that in my 20s. But who’s got time for that now? Plus the hard left slant makes it unwatchable now.
During one stretch of SNL, Al Franken ended every show standing on the stage and announcing, “This program has been brought to you by the Communist Party.”
.
I will never forget the first time I saw that dreck.
The station(KVOO 2 Tulsa) always had Fantastic Theater on Saturday nights. Horror and Si-Fi!
I sat down, in 1975, with my soda pop and popcorn and instead some voice comes on yelling..”LIVE FROM NEW YORK! IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!”
Where is my sifi movie? I watched that dreck hoping they would have the movie on afterward. Nope. Never voluntarily watched it again.
Last time I was that upset was when I had to set through Playboy Penthouse back in 1961, before the Si-fi movie came on.
The 90’s was when I stopped watching. The TH author must be living under a rock if he’s surprised. I worked for Sandler here in L.A. on a project and he’s not a lib per se.
There are youtube compilations videos of all of Norm MacDonald’s OJ jokes on ‘weekend update’
It’s an old joke that nobody likes SNL when it’s on, just that it used be better. It’s absolutely true though. It was pretty great in the 90s until Phil Hartman was murdered. The casts ever since have been real unfunny dullards.
It’s happened to a lot of shows since the leftist revolution since Bush in media. Nobody cares about South Park anymore. The left just can’t be funny cause to be funny you almost always have to offend someone and be bold, which is extinct outside a few standup acts.
Yeah!
Does this article mean Dave Chapelle when they say Dave Chapell?
More cowbell and Colonel Angus were my two favorites and both had Christopher Walken in them.
