YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A traveling group of supporters of former President Donald Trump has been camping out at the Covelli Centre ahead of Saturday’s rally.
They came from all over — Indiana, Tennessee, Connecticut, Florida and near Cleveland. Some have been in Youngstown since early this week.
“We come and hang out so we can get a good place in line,” said Sharon Anderson, of Tennessee.
Anderson is part of a group called the “Front Row Joes.” They head to the former president’s rallies early to tailgate, in a sense.
What you need to know: Trump in Youngstown “We don’t have any liquor or anything involved, but we tailgate and just hang out,” Anderson said.
“We share the same likes, mainly being Donald Trump’s policies,” Anderson added.
“I’ve met lifelong friends doing this. I mean, plus I’m traveling the country, seeing the beautiful United States of America,” said Mike Boatman, of Indiana.
This will be Anderson’s 27th Trump rally and Boatman’s 25th consecutive but 43rd overall.
Libby Earle DePiero has been to more than 60, while Saturday will be Jared Petry’s 10th rally.
They say the experience is one of a kind.
“I just love being there. It’s like going to a rock concert, like from the old days when you used to travel around. It’s like the enthusiasm and the crowd, it’s just such energy, and it gives you such joy,” said Earle DePiero, of Connecticut.
“It’s incredible. It’s the most fun thing I’ve ever had, just the energy and the passion and the crowd. It’s just really a remarkable experience. Actually, it’s kind of addicting. You do one, and it’s so exciting and fun, you look on your phone, ‘Where’s the next one? Where’s the next one?'” said Petry, of Brunswick, Ohio.

Hope anyone who hasn’t been to one gets to go. It really is like a rock concert. Just you and 65,000 frens. But leave the bong at home.
I’m not hearing a lot about the Antifa-BLM spoilers right now. Those liberal groups who run to the nearest GOP gathering hoping to disrupt and ruin the experience.
There have been a few incidents, but not a lot.
That will probably change the moment Donald Trump decides to run for another term.

There is no doubt in my Military Mind that THIS is how the SANE half of America still feels!
God Bless You, President in Exile Trump! Cannot WAIT for your Victory Lap in 2024! :)
Unfortunately they are in jeopardy of armed seizure and arrest.
Pence. Christie, Noem, Graham, DeSantis, Youngkin, Haley all have the same support right? Asking for a friend.
I’m all set.

The further we go into the Heart of Darkness of the coup d’état by the current regime, the more meaningful these Trump rallies become.
I was at Trumps Mt Rushmore event a couple of years ago. The atmosphere was electric. Best time ever.
I’m sure these monster Trump rallies are great and all, but how could they possibly beat out JoeTato’s folding-chairs-in-a-parking-lot fests attended by ones and ones of people?
And, who WOULDN’T want to do The Wave with…(checking crowd)…3 people!!
Dont put our gov..desantis..in that bunch!
He’s made florida free.
Lol! Three people…sad but true!
More like Dead heads or Phish fans?
I was at the last one two weeks ago in Wilkes-Barre and it is exactly as described. It has the feel of waiting for a major rock concert only you are with friends and family. We were outside waiting for hours but the time melted away because everybody was friendly and talking to each other.
Well that's the price we pay for our freedom. As the Benjamin Franklin saying goes, those who value safety over liberty deserve neither.
I've been to three Trump rallies and have never been hassled but I'm not going to shy away from one because I might get arrested.
More like 6,000. It's a small venue.
It’s money.
The money is being doled out as necessary to Democrat candidates in danger of losing the coming election
