The Germans could sell them to the Poles.
The Poles could then resell them to Ukraine, and send Joe the bill.
Alternately, the Poles could sell off their older Leopards and buy new ones.

One Ukrainian problem is they are running low on 125mm tank ammo, especially HE, heavily used for infantry support. Both sides rarely use tanks to fight other tanks.
And that too is in limited supply from western sources. So, like the 155mm - 152mm problem, the solution is to replace the systems. They need tanks that can use western 120mm.
There seems to be buzz about redirecting some of the 500 older Abrams the US is giving Poland to Ukraine. Also, this might revive the idea of sending them the 200 Spanish Leopard 2A4’s.
Germany is and always will be a dirty backstabbing country with a despotic heart-just like RuSSia.
