Kids are expensive and single, child-free women are taking note.
New data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis showed that single women without kids pocketed $65,000 more in wealth in 2019 than single, child-free men, who has an of $57,000. Single mothers, on the other hand, had only $7,000.
This is unsurprising since on average, it takes about $286,000/year to raise two children in the US according to the USDA as reported by Bankrate. These staggering figures, along with improved sex education and more financial independence among women, may correlate to the drop in US births.

The author seems to think money accumulation defines “riches”.

...and they grow more lonely by the half-decade, pretending they are so free and carefree like the boy whose parents don’t give a crap about him when other kids have a curfew because they are loved.
They are some of the most bitter people of the face of the planet.

We know a few of these single, child-less career women. They were often either cat women or dog women.
Another semi entry into this class of woman, had one or two children shortly after marriage, and then divorced their husbands and never married again. Raising the boys, basically by themselves created some swishy guys.
Women without men often seemed to gravitate into the teaching hierarchy with Masters or PHDs in education. So, they spent most of their time lecturing their teachers and writing a new doctoral thesis.
They often lectured in colleges during the summer or on a cruise ship.
I just picked up the dog shit in front of my(female) neighbor’s business. I couda just given her a text of it’s existence. Instead I picked it up with a plastic bag and dumped it in the garbage. It’s ok men. Some of you would say “You want equal rights you got em’ bitch!” and let them clean up their own mess. I will not inform her of my good deed. She owes me nothing. They’ll take offense when you suggest the kitchen is women’s work. I did the guy thing and did not think I’m more manly.
We had the 2 YO this weekend, and she's a hoot! I didn't see the zippers on the sides of her boots until after putting the first one on.

BAD calculations-—not possible. There would be NO kids-—or there would be NO WELFARE.
I’m sure they don’t pick up any checks, and probably most of them don’t even go out very often.
Women...I hate to say this, being one...do what they’re told.
The modern model for women is to earn lots of money, have sex with whatever whenever but have no personal relationships and certainly no children, and vote Democrat.

Consider the unnecessary expenses that parents have now ..
For instance though we were poor I bought 6 dozen cloth diapers and washed them out ...saved the diapers for the next child ...only used Pampers when my child was in the church nursery ...
Do you know what a box of Pampers costs now ??? Any brand ???
I breast fed for a few weeks or so ..My youngest for 13 months ...I made my own baby food ...
I sewed the childrens clothes ... and handed then down
Stored the baby furniture in the attic and used the same again and the stroller and the car seat ...

Still, I’d guess that all women don’t particularly want to live with the guys who dispose of their dead critters or pump their gas.
Absolutely! Children would be better off with no more than 10% they and their rooms are flooded with today—including all the electronic ones.
