This stinks. Make your choice for your party in the primary, and then have them run head to head.

The Dems are more organized and usually have only one anointed person running for the office, while the GOP - simply because we’re more individualistic - may have several. This divides the vote in such a way that a GOP candidate will never have a majority, and this is how ranked choice has worked out everywhere...Dems win by default.

Also, it confuses voters.

Go back to the old system with primaries sorting out the candidates and then the two surviviors - representing the two major parties - go head to head.

The GOP is too #ing stupid to have just one candidate. It’s why we lost the Senate via GA.

What is it? A mechanism to help Democrats and RINOs win elections.

Thw ay I see it is this in AK recently 60% of the votes were for Republicans, 40% was for a Democrat that won.
that is how it really works.
Democrats are for the most part are mindless automatons all marching to the same agenda. Republicans are like herding kittens, no two really agree on much.
Given that reality, Democrats are going to slaughter opposition at the polls with graded voting. and it will be rule by a minatory.

Rigged Choice Voting

Let’s be sure to use the correct term whenever it is brought up.

This should have been first:

“The way this system typically works is that voters rank candidates in order of preference. A candidate can win outright by receiving the majority of first-preference votes. If that doesn’t happen, the candidate with the fewest first-preference votes is eliminated, and voters who picked that candidate as their first choice will have their next choice counted. If there still is not a winner, then the candidate with the next fewest votes is also eliminated. This process continues with candidates eliminated one by one until one candidate has obtained a majority.”

I don’t know how it is Constitutional. Has it been challenged?

There is nothing so powerful as a stupid idea whose time has come.

Eric Adams, a Black candidate who ultimately bested both Yang and Garcia, decried their electoral alliance as a form of racist voter suppression meant to prevent a person of color from winning.

That sentence is crazy in so many different ways.

Ranked Choice voting is a key to election theft. Its typical of the left do support anything that will keep their rearends in the seat of power.

Ranked voice voting should be banned because it confuses what appears to be an already stupid electorate and makes it easier to tamper with elections.

How can an election run under those Ranked Choice policies be trusted?

I believe this is Unconstitutional but states are doing it anyway. That tells me it benefits someone and it ain’t the voters!

It's a way that the Rat Party can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. One of Maine's two House seats was stolen by the Rats in 2020. The Republican got more votes than the Rat...but the Rat was declared the victor.

To me this seems to violate the premise of ‘one person one vote’.

In the US, I have not seen a place where the state legislature put in place this type of voting.

I do not see how a referendum can be Constitutionally used to put such a system in place, as was done in Alaska.

The Constitution is clear.

The state legislatures are to determine how elections are done in their state.

What a crock.

So instead of a clear winner, even without the “majority” you end up with a 4th place finisher.

Like Janice Mills in ME Or that dumblecrat in AK.

THIS is a stupid idea. Unless you are a dumblecrat.
