Falling gas prices give Democrats a sense of optimism for November

Weeks of falling gas prices are dulling what had previously been a sharp Republican weapon, giving Democrats another glimmer of hope ahead of the midterm elections.

Months ago, sky-high gas prices were a major reason why Democrats’ prospects looked bleak.

But as candidates hit the homestretch ahead of the Nov. 8 midterms, the lower gas prices are giving reasons for Democrats to think they can be more competitive.

“It takes a lot of the effectiveness out of a cudgel when people aren’t seeing and feeling it as much,” Democratic strategist Eddie Vale said of gas prices.

Since hitting a June peak of $5.02 on average across the country, U.S. gasoline prices have fallen by $1.28 and are averaging about $3.74 per gallon as of Friday.

I never felt this way before (to my detriment) but I have learned since not to underestimate the sheer ignorance and stupidity of the American voter.

Sadly.

Europe Is Facing Energy Disaster And It’s Going To Bleed Over Into The US
> by Brandon Smith
Though the situation is ever changing, currently the Russian government has announced an official shutdown of ALL natural gas exports to Europe through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline and plans to maintain the shutdown until the EU ends its economic sanctions over the war in Ukraine. This means that around 40% of Europe’s energy resources are now gone, with supply chain issues surrounding the other 60% and prices skyrocketing for households and businesses.

/snip/

This means less oil, less gas, less coal, less of everything for purchase in America. Sure, we could be producing most of these resources in-house and cut exports to the EU, but the Biden Administration will never allow that to happen.

At the very least, prices are going to rise everywhere on the majority of goods. I continue to predict that US gas prices at the pump will climb to around $7 a gallon on average. Propane and other heating commodities will rocket beyond previous highs.

The Hill is a nest of Bolshevik liars. Go to the market and enjoy the shortages and increasing prices. Then enjoy your double gas prices from when Trump was in office.

The Hill and the others say what Biden’s demons tell them to, They are crawling snakes.

The rodents have no chance of $1.89 a gallon even after the sell of our entire Strategic Reserve of oil.

The rodents are on the wrong side of every issue voters care about.

One of the main reasons the price of gas is dropping is because refineries are beginning to process the “winter blend” fuels which is less expensive to produce......a little fact most aren’t aware of and the left damn sure ain’t admitting.

It has absolutely nothing to do with anything the democrats are doing that’s for damn sure.

Gas prices dropping changes NOTHING when inflation is still 8.5, utility bills rising, rent rising, grocery bills are stupid, and I could go on, but yeah, as the idiot Left continues to peddle, gas prices have dropped!

Yeah, conveniently ignore the fact that gas is still more than double what it was two years ago. Where I live in Missouri, it’s $3.49 today compared to $1.67 in 2020.

Falling? The prices here finally dropped to $4.99 a couple of weeks ago, and in a week jumped back to $5.25

Gas prices are still over 70% higher than when President Trump was President. This tack will not work, “The Hill”.

Sad.
I only wish I hadn’t felt that way beginning decades ago.

In the fourth grade my teacher said to me “You are a cynic.”
In college a young woman said when she heard that “That’s sad.” I hadn’t thought about it much but she was right.

It’s been shifted into diesel prices.

I’m *sure* there’s no collusion or extortion going on between the Biden regime and fuel suppliers.

Part of the reason for dropping prices is the strengthening of the dollar. Everybody wants king dollar until we get it. Even though, say gas is $85 a barrel, that’s still $100 for the Japanese. The yen has lost about that much to the dollar.
Apple prices in usd, they are gonna be crushed because of such value in the dollar.
