Allies push for US weaponry after seeing impact in Ukraine

As other nations see the impact of U.S. weapons in the Ukraine war, the Pentagon is getting more requests for them, including the high-tech, multiple-launch rocket system that Ukrainian forces have successfully used against Russian ammunition depots and other supplies, Defense officials said Friday.

Bill LaPlante, the department’s under secretary for acquisition, told reporters that the Pentagon has been working with the defense industry to increase production lines to meet both U.S. and international demands for certain weapons. And he said some countries have already begun asking about buying the High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS.

As a result, he said, the U.S. has to both replace the HIMARS systems it sent to Ukraine — at a projected cost so far of about $33 million — but also predict the future demands in foreign sales.

According to the Pentagon, the department is already working to replace about $7 billion in weapons and equipment that was taken off the shelves so it could be delivered quickly to Ukraine. Of that, about $1.2 billion has already been contracted, and roughly half of that was for Stinger missiles.

Congress provided a total of $12.5 billion for such replacements so far this year, as well as another $6 billion to buy weapons and equipment directly from industry to send to Ukraine. The contracted items could take several years to come in.

Article states:..... about $7 billion in weapons and equipment that was taken off the shelves so it could be delivered quickly to Ukraine.

Might explain the $7 Billion US took from Ukraine?

After all, endless wars are just conventions to showcase new products.

Like a giant, mass murdering Tupperware party.

Ha, ha, ha........ what irony

For the recent past, Vladimir Putin has been in Syria where he invites Generals as customers to see Russian arms up close. Putin flies planes all over near NATO and American Borders to get free media advertising for Russian arms. (Russia has for sale oil, gas, wheat and arms, no manufactured products)

Putin starts a war and American arms manufacturers reap the benefits while his touted weapons lie for the world to see in rusted roadside hulks all over Ukraine

And, of course, Democrats LOVE to sell our tech to China.
DemocRATs are the enemy.
Always have been.
Always will be.
Until.......we do something about it..........

We are not involved in this endless war until we send troops. Equipment is no different than the support the Soviets gave Hanoi. if Reagan sent stinger missiles to Afghanistan Biden should follow up in Ukraine with the full support of the Republicans.

Neocons like you love to engineer endless little wars to showcase their latest gadgets. Which is exactly what we are doing in Ukraine.

Sales are booming! Doesn’t matter who gets killed.

That’s one of the reasons Brandon keeps dumping cash in Ukraine.
Keep the war going.
War is good business.

And it keeps the hoi poloi focused on a foreign boogieman while the state eats their lunch.

Seems to work with some.

Brandon spent 2021 denying Ukraine military aid while partnering with Putin to bust Trump’s Iran policy. That’s an odd way to “keep the war going.”

I posted earlier, the money going to Ukraine should not be viewed as expense but rather investment.

American weapons sales is but one of the dividends from the investment

Frankly, I did not expect such a dividend so soon

"Putin starts a war and American arms manufacturers reap the benefits while his touted weapons lie for the world to see in rusted roadside hulks all over Ukraine"

And yet something as simple as LPG will defeat NATO in the coming months.

Of course, Ukraine blood being traded for an insignificant PR win and more $$$$$ for the money laundering operation that this war has become.

And, Timber wants to spend endless amounts of taxpayer money on a war that has absolutely nothing to do with our national security.

How is the money from this war filtering down to you, Timber? That's the real question with anyone obsessed with keeping us involved in this war.

“Allies”... until China tells them otherwise.

.gov still hasn’t figured out that your real friends and allies don’t require handouts and cash infusions.

Ukraine blood being traded for an insignificant PR win

Like you give a damn about Ukrainian lives, you Russian shill

and "neocons" aren't the ones who started this conflict or keep it going, only warmonger Vladimir Putin is doing that

so maybe you should blame him
