NEW YORK (WABC) -- Gov. Kathy Hochul has lifted the requirement to wear masks while riding mass transit during a news conference on Wednesday.
New signs will be displayed throughout the mass transit system letting riders know that masks are encouraged but optional.
The new guidance is effective immediately.
Hochul also stressed the importance of respecting the choices of others.

Masks have pretty much been gone for a few months in my neck of the woods.
I see the very occasional one-off and that’s it.
where is a drug induced mentally ill homeless man who would push her in front of a train when you need one
NYC mass transit mask mandate was ended by Cuomo 6/15/21. The MTA then created a fake and unenforceable mask mandate a month later over the fake Delta variant panic. Now Hochul says she’s lifting this fake mandate.
It’s all mind games, and the goal is to see which segments of society are most compliant and most resistant to propaganda, as they move forward with the Great Reset.
Are school children still masked in NY?
So if I chose to wear a MAGA hat with an UNVAXXED t-shirt, my choice would be respected?
(rhetorical; I know what the witch meant)
My thought exactly. We haven’t had such mandates in Alabama since the end of 2020, and even then, it was up to the store/office/company, Not the government.
Hochul allegedly got shot up with the new booster...
There do seem to be a few ‘tards left around that think wearing those masks accomplishes something other than hiding your identity. They are still required here in certain places, but no good reasons for it that I know of. People who can & do read about such things know that it is a load of foolishness for the most part & accomplishes nothing much but giving certain people a feeling of power over others.
Where is the, “Y’all are still playing Pandemic?” meme?

Do editors not exist any more?
I ride the subway M-F. Far from empty and law hasn’t been enforced since April.
Since they stopped enforcing the law in NYC back in April, it was about 60/40 in the morning and the reverse in the afternoon. The Asians really love the power of the mask, hence why on SF it is higher.
Nobody tells Clemenza what to do :)
In all seriousness even the cops who patrol the trains have been going maskless for months.
