Pamela Ricard was a math teacher at Fort Riley Middle School. She was reprimanded then suspended after challenging a school district policy requiring faculty to use a student’s preferred name and "prounoun" while addressing the student, and forcing them to hide the student’s social transition from their parents but use the student’s legal name when speaking to parents.
Ricard refused, asserting that the school policy violated her conscience.
Administrators at Fort Riley Middle School retaliated when Ricard asserted that a teacher should refer to students by their legal name and pronouns that corresponded with their biological sex.
They canned her. But Ricard refused to back down. She sued the Geary County School District
And now she has prevailed:

You’re not in school to learn Gibberish
If that’s her in the blue dress, she kinda looks too young to retire. On the other hand she won’t have trouble being hired at a non-woke school.
And the parents not allowed to know. They should join her lawsuit or add their own. If allowed to stand the communist goal of the state owning the children is achieved.
Here’s my general-purpose solution:
Give the student two choices:
1. We will use one of the two traditional pronoun families (he, she, his, hers, etc.) you’d like us to use.
2. We will use use your full name, e.g. Joe Brown, and never use a pronoun to refer to you. Also, we won’t put a Mr. or Ms. on front.
You can just imagine the meeting of those highly paid public school bureaucrats concocting that bizarre policy. With people like that in charge of public education it is no surprise that 50% of 8th graders in urban public schools with huge budgets are functionally illiterate and are unable to do basic arithmetic.
NY Post has her pic. That’s not her in the blue dress. Gutsy and let’s keep the ball rolling.
People really need to read up on employment law.
Yes they can.
I agree. To piss em off, I would tell them I have never been taught on how to appropriately teach a transgender, therefore I may not be able to teach them well, if at all.
I think most of the stuff going on in the lower ages is just nascent attention getting, and rebellion. And too busy to care parents.
And possibly have to hire you back although who would want to work for someone who not only lies but demands you do so as well?
Can you ping the Free Republic “Kansas” Board for this article?
When a society descends into evil madness, the first institutions to get totally corrupted are medicine and academia.
“Also, we won’t put a Mr. or Ms. on front.”
If that’s her in the blue dress then she can call me anything she wants.
If the kid wants to use other than their given name, let the parents register the kid under the name the kid wants to use.
As long as the birth certificate backs it up or is accompanied by a court-approved name change action.
You are right on this one.
That company no longer exists.
‘You’re not in school to learn Gibberish’
gibberish would have made a lot more sense to me in school than Euclidian Geometry...
