Happy ending.
Word has it Biden is opining on the incident.

I suspect the guy will be charged and pay a hefty price he didn’t plan on.
Crazy, he’s got a possible psych defense. Also, no one was hurt... thank God.
If he has a complex rating, he should know just about enough. Practicing a lot through Microsoft Flight software and he could do pretty well.
He made it to the ground safely so he must of had some training.
Landing is the only part that you really have to practice!!!
...Several hours later, the plane landed in a field in Benton County, which is northwest of Tupelo.
The pilot, Cory Patterson of Shannon, is alive and was taken into custody.
The Tupelo Police Department will hold a news conference at noon. WTVA will carry that news conference on our channels and on our digital platforms.
Looks like he missed the center pivot. Would be messy to collect the insurance. Tornados are more straight forward.
I thought of that, too. Beans look good, so they must have had water, and then I see the pivots. By the time the feds are done, there will be quite a bit of crop damage, I suspect.
Curious if he's wheels down though. If he is he brought it in about as well as a no-gas ditch can be done.
Curious if he’s wheels down though.
Can’t tell from the picture. The beans look like they may be double cropped -sort of medium height. The beans and rough soil wouldn’t do the wheels much good.
Will that Southwest 737 fly him to GitMo?
“His post apologized for the incident, said he really didn’t want to hurt anyone, and don’t blame his parents.”
I don’t think one can hijack a plane, threaten a terrorist attack and then walk away with just an apology.
