Well, the Ukrainian people weren’t insisting on recovering Crimea militarily prior to the Russian invasion, so they appear to be willing to accept at least that.

Both sides are doing propaganda the truth is somewhere between but I will say this the Russians on paper have no reason to be in this position. IMO their equipment soldiers and leadership have proven to be less than superior. A first as superior in numbers….should not be having these difficulties and suffering such losses. Do I think Ukraine will prevail as in their country being whole is extremely unlikely but the idea that Russia is the premier military organization in the region is dashed they are a third rate military and economy with nukes. Look at North Korea and a nuclear Iran as similar examples. Every day this goes on without a Russian “victory” is a loss for them

Russia has a huge systemic problem in its military. It does not have a hard inner core of NCOs. This has a far larger effect on competence and discipline than most realize. Thousands of years of human combat has demonstrated this necessity.

Ukraine did nothing to Russia. Russia put out lots of false propaganda that appeals to the weak minded.
Putin wanted Ukrainian black soil areas. Putin wanted Ukraine’s coal fields. Putin wanted Ukraine’s other resources, their factories, their coast, their land.
You should travel to the Donbas and get the real story instead of watching stupid Russian-produced vids.
Putin invaded Ukraine because he wanted Ukraine to be part of Russia again, or at least under the control of a Moscow puppet. That's blindingly obvious to any remotely fair minded-person.
