Several states where reproduction rights are at risk are seeing a surge in women registering to vote following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade case, abolishing the constitutional right to abortion.
An analysis by Targetsmart Insights, a Democratic political data and data services firm, found that women are out-registering men by significant margins in states where reproductive rights are in danger of being repealed, such as Kansas, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Whew, that first sentence was tilted as left as a sailboat in a gale.
the decision is not hurting us....its the total bans Republicans are enacting.....too much too soon. Politically, bad move.
Many of these "trigger laws" were passed long before the Dobbs ruling by GOP politicians throwing a bone to the pro-life base, never imagining that any of these laws would come into effect.
But, yeah, if people think that the Dobbs ruling is the green light to implement total bans, prepare to be disappointed at the ballot box.
More women are anti abortion than are pro. This whole narrative is a dismal failure.
If abortion was such a big issue, why have Republicans turned out in vastly larger numbers to vote in their primaries in one state after another?
If you really cared about your unborn child you’d kill it.
Young women want their male friends to enjoy casual, unprotected sex without fear of romance, commitment and financial responsibility.

The majority of Americans believe abortion should be legal with restrictions, typically to this first trimester. This has remained unchanged in poll after poll.
In the second and third trimester, support for abortion falls dramatically.
Unlimited abortion on demand is not a politically popular position but neither are total restrictions on abortion.
Roe was a useful foil for conservatives as it allowed GOP politicians to appease the pro-life base by enacting extreme abortion restrictions that would never stand up in court. It also allowed more moderate voters to support these candidates for the same reason.
Now Roe is gone and the GOP is going to have to figure out how to thread the needle between retaining their pro-life base and retaining those swing voters who support some measure of legal abortion.
Doesn’t help that some of the GOP state reps and candidate saying some REALLY. STUPID. SHIT.
the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade case, abolishing the constitutional right to abortion.
The Supreme Court righted a wrong. The US Constitution is silent on abortion. There never was a “right” to abortion nor Emanations from the Penumbra of the Bill of Rights, however, the bill of rights is clear that we have the right to be secure in our homes. My, My, how confused we have become as a nation as we turn away from God.
the result last night is troubling, but for me, the Kansas vote a few weeks ago was a shocker...they had near Presidential level turnout and a 20 point win to keep abortion legal..in KANSAS!!...here in Michigan, Whitmer is just hammering Tudor Dixon every day with the same abortion ad...Dixon is for total bans. From here on in, youre gonna hear democrats saying they will pass a federal law allowing abortion. Man, this could end up being a total back fire....
Republicans need to learn how to lie during the campaign and then "evolve" on the issues after they've been safely elected.
You know, like Democrats do.
Dixon is a political novice, and boy it shows...she sat down with a local reporter, and he just carved her up over abortion rights...she said the most cringe, weird things...and Whitmer has used that to make an ad that runs constantly here...man, im getting a very bad vibe from all this...hope im wrong.
Obama and gay marriage comes to mind..i knew he was lying, but hes a good BSer and people fell for it...
There's a reason the Dems threw so much money supporting many of these politically inexperienced MAGA candidates. It's a play that has worked before.
The only chance is that the Red Wave is such a tsunami, it pulls these candidates who would've otherwise lost tighter races across the finish line. I'm not nearly as confident of this happening as I was last April. If the election were today, I'd say we barely take the House, lose the Senate, retain the governorship of Florida and Georgia, and get hammered everywhere else, --unless Biden and the Democrats can figure out how to piss everyone off again (and this upcoming student loan bailout just might do the trick).
Cannot imagine a woman that hasn’t been voting all along.
Abortion isn’t the only National issue.
Dems can lie because they do it with a wink to the base. Their base knows they're lying to get elected and doesn't force them to publicly pledge supporting unpopular positions.
If a Republican ran on anything other than a total ban on abortion, half the people on the site would be screaming, "RINO! BABY KILLER! YOU'LL NEVER GET MY VOTE!"
So Republicans have learned they need to bend the knee and kiss the rings of the single-issue voters in the base and then somehow figure out how to pivot to the center in the general campaign.
Democrats don't have this problem. Their base is smart enough to allow their candidates to keep their mouths shut and campaign as a moderate until the moment the polling places close.
to me, we are in uncharted waters..Roe was in place 50 years...and i think now for the first time ever, abortion is being voted on basically a national level....ya know, say the 2nd amendment was taken away in the same fashion...would we react the same way??...”to hell with the economy, i want my 2nd amendment rights back”....guess we’ll see in November...
Give females FREE birth control pills & end abortions.
It will not occur to the rat pollsters that prolife women may be mobilizing now that there is a chance for their vote to count.
