Still feeling an overwhelming sense of dread every time you head to the gas station? That suffocating squeeze as you watch the price counter shoot up really fast compared to the gallon counter?

Well, just relax. Because, as CNN points out, if you really stop and think about it, you’re actually getting a raise!

Just when you think CNN's sunk to their lowest in stupidity, they surprise you.

The administration called it the "Putin price hikes" when it was going up and up.

It has dropped a dollar a gallon in the last couple of months so I call it the "Putin price reduction" now.

Most of us don’t buy diesel, but diesel contributes more to inflation than gasoline. Our entire supply chain for food is dependent on diesel. Nearly all manufactured goods are shipped using diesel. It’s baked into the price of everything. I passed a filling station this morning, diesel was $5.49/gallon.

CNBC is nothing more than commission pumps for Wall Street.

Even I do not usually use a hundred gallons a month!
So even if their math made ANY sense the headline is still BS.
All that driving/spending I am not doing is slowing the economy, I suppose they celebrate that too.

I’m in California. Our local station went from $6.00 for regular to $5.00. If your area has much cheaper prices to start with the price drop will likely be much less.

The SPR release is scheduled to end in September. Then what?
Petroleum companies have not spent excess dollars on infrastructure for the past ten years because of the target on their backs.
This Transition is going to be painful.

"....but diesel contributes more to inflation than gasoline"

No! High prices don't cause inflation. Inflation causes high prices. Inflation and deflation (depression) relate to the amount of money in the economic system versus the goods and services available. Econ 101 explains about supply and demand, M1 and M2 and the velocity of money. These are the things you should study prior to making statements about economic matters.

$5.40 to $4.80, not a dollar drop.
And not $2.20 either.

Typical MSM Spin.

You’ll be broke soon. Here’s why that’s a good thing.

Gas per gallon nationally averaged $2.48 when Bidet started his WH occupation.

It now averages $4.05.

So, a more accurate headline would be

Next time you stop at a gas station, think of it as a $140-a-month Biden tax.

So we were REALLY better off when it was just $1.80!! You know, when Trump was Pres! Sounds like the answer to Reagan’s question to the audience in 1980.
