A luxury Manhattan hotel once touted as the “Lullabuy of Broadway” will soon be providing beddy-bye to hundreds of asylum-seeking migrants, The Post has learned.
Mayor Eric Adams plans to convert the Row NYC — formerly known as the Milford Plaza and located in pricey tourist-packed Times Square — into an intake center and shelter for as many as 600 migrant families amid the city’s spiraling homelessness crisis, three sources familiar with the matter said.
“In a month or two, we’re about to open up for [the city Department of Homeless Services], for homeless,” a hotel staffer told The Post on Monday.
“They’re working on an agreement, a contract,” the worker said of the plan, which is designed to help handle homeless border-crossers bused to the city from Texas.
“It’ll be here at this hotel, but they’ll keep the DHS shelter on a certain floor. But that hasn’t started yet, they said a month or two.”
City Hall hasn’t said what the hotel plan may cost or provided any other details about it, including who exactly will run the operation.
An Adams administration rep told The Post on Monday only that the city has extended its deadline for receiving bids from entities interested in operating the massive undertaking at the hotel “to get a range of responses.”

I’m really hoping we see the day when the NY Yankees are playing on national television, and in the background we can see entire sections of Yankee Stadium turned into encampments for Mexican migrants.

No Worries! In places like San Francisco and Seattle they have been doing this for years. They even delivered alcohol and drugs to the hotel. Recently, left wing wacko judges have ruled that the homeless have been there, in the hotel, for so long they have established residency, and a ‘right’ to remain.
I bet this famed luxury hotel is just thrilled great chance for them in off season to milk the taxpayers!!

I used to stay at the Milford Plaza when I was a flight crew member. It was a somewhat nice hotel, very accommodating to us and the other guests and was very convenient to Times Square, good food and it was relatively safe.
Democrats hate America and destroy every single thing they touch.
Also, be prepared for a HUGE uncontrollable bedbug infestation, toilets backing up and homeless/illegals using the entire hotel as a toilet.

I would never stay at a hotel where I knew these people were or are staying for these and other reasons.
Memo to me: If I ever lost my mind and decided to visit NYCess, remind me to never stay anywhere near Times Square.
Aside, wonder if they will be out there celebrating NY Eve and watching the big ball drop??
There’s a rumor running around Upstate NY that some or all of those 6 prisons that NYS closed recently will be used to house refugees.
NYS is depopulating.
It needs warm bodies and doesn’t care where they come from.
What Adams doesn’t tell you is that there will be 15 to a room.
Do you mean if a guest checked into the hotel they can get a room free? Let’s see the pool will be filled with P I guess.
Who determines which illegal aliens will get a luxurious hotel room?
It says that it will be “families”. Does that mean they want the underaged girls to be housed in the hotel rooms? All others can go to the shelters.
