I remember my boss in the 1980 time frame telling me this: I was told that if I voted for McGovern that the war in Vietnam would be escalated. I didn’t listen, I voted for him anyway. Sure enough, they were right. The war in Vietnam was escalated.
I regret him and McCain votes. Bush-43 is just more dumb than mean spirited.
I actually see him more as a con artist. He will say or do whatever advances his position (or weakens his adversaries), and tries to use his mormon faith as a shield against criticism.
Larry Nicholson, Clinton’s dog, said Romney was cheated out of 8 million votes. He actually won.
