In Part 1 of this series, "The LGBT strategy to gain constitutional protection," I detailed how the four-decade-long LGBT campaign to win legal protections for their lifestyle choices under the "right to privacy" was thwarted in the 1986 Bowers v. Hardwick case, at which time they pivoted to a new strategy seeking special rights as a civil rights minority under the Equal Protection clause of the 14th Amendment. The cornerstone of the new strategy was convincing the courts and the public that homosexuality was an innate and unchangeable condition, not a behavioral choice: the "born gay" hoax.
While the notion that homosexuals were "born gay" goes back to Karl Heinrichs Ulrich, the "grandfather of gay rights" in the mid-1880s in Germany, the idea was not truly central to the American LGBT movement prior to Bowers, and many if not most "gays" treated sexuality as a matter of choice – a choice that should be protected in their view under the right to privacy.

He may or may not be an expert, but my most beautiful friend had a daughter who wasn’t beautiful at all, and definitely a lesbian all her life. I think she qualifies as born gay.
I knew the daughter. Nice person, smart too. .She and my husband were friends.
A gene that results in a non-reproducing organism is dysgenic and wont survive for more then a generation.
There is no analogous example in nature of such a creature except as a random mutation that dies out quickly.
If people are born automatically attracted to men or women (born straight or gay), but not born automatically male or female themselves --- they choose that later ... you might be a Democrat. LOL
That’s almost as bad as the “liberals mean well” hoax.
A few questions.
How would you have knowledge that your friends daughter was a lesbian “all her life?” How did you come to possess that special knowledge? Do you think possibly some family dynamics unknown to you may have influenced her early in her life?
I’m quite certain that Scott Lively is 200 times more knowledgeable than you about the history of the homosexual “rights” movement. You can count on that. And he knows enough that that movement is expert at a presenting a public façade that is socially acceptable to the unwary. You may be one of those unwary. “Niceness” can be deceiving.
Who knows how many? These days I think most are those swayed to it by a crazy society.
I have known a few that just were homosexuals from the beginning.
It would be nice if we could know for sure which is which so the ones who were made that way could be salvaged if possible, and the rest left alone.
A good segment of the gay population are victims of childhood sexual abuse... Folks can lie about it all they like, but it’s a true statement. Always has been, always will be.
Every thinking person already knew this. It is so obvious that is shames someone to even say it. Homosexuals are called queers for a reason. They have a twisted mentality. They choose those perverse things they do instead of growing up and taking some responsibility for their actions.
Either that or they "experimented" due to peer pressure during their formative years. Just look at our society. Anything goes.
My guess. 10%. No way to prove it. But it's probably low.
Many boys just kind of get sucked in to it.
Conservative reporter Ryan Sorba did an undercover sting with a hidden body cam where he went into "gay" clubs and talked with a number of people about their past. An overwhelming number of queer men admitted that they engaged in homosexual conduct at a very young age as minors. In other words, they were molested by adult men. And a good many of them admitted to molesting minors when they grew up to adulthood.
What does ‘right to privacy’ mean when you advertise to the whole world the details of your sexual lusts?
Good point. Once you broadcast all your secret perversions to the world, you kind of forfeit that right.

There is a theory that the number of gays being born spiked in the 40's due to the amount of stress experienced by wives separated from their husbands who went to war and might not come home alive. That would make sense given the time frame, as those children would be in their 20's when the gay movement started really kicking off.
Anyone who has spoken openly with homosexual men in any meaningful numbers know this is true. A very very large percentage of adult homosexual males were sexually abused by men as children.
My younger brother (approximately 30) became ‘gay’ after getting his masters at U. of North Carolina. He confided to our sister that he became ‘gay’ because he wasn’t getting any action with women.
He also became ‘gay’ while becoming more liberal and I theorized that, as a white male, he was viewed as an ‘oppressor’. He couldn’t become female and he couldn’t become black so the easiest way to become approved by liberals was to become ‘gay’. That’s just my theory but it would not shock me that the desire to fit in at grad school also meant a thorough conversion to liberal dogma.
Rush Limbaugh said about the “born gay” idea. “Scientists have looked for years for a ‘gay gene’ and if they had found it, we would know about it because it would support their claim that they are ‘born this way’ and it would be discriminatory to stop their behavior as a genetic disposition.”
“If they ever did find a gay gene,” said Rush. “You’d see the greatest one-day transition from pro-choice to pro-life that the world has ever seen.”
