Job Requirement: “Be Willing To Use Deadly Force”. IRS Sparks Uproar Over Job Posting
Nation and State ^ | 08/11/2022 | Tyler Durden

Only two things in life are certain - death and taxes, and the IRS can take care of both.

As the agency prepares to add 87,000 new positions over 10 years, pending the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act that will give the agency $80 billion (half of which will be earmarked to help crack down on tax evasion), an online job posting for "Criminal Investigation Special Agents" has sparked outrage over a "key requirement" that applicants be "legally allowed to carry a firearm."

"Major duties" of the job include "Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary," and "Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments."

The IRS is hiring new special agents!

Requirements include working min “50 hours per week, which may include irregular hours, and be on-call 24/7, including holidays and weekends” and “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”

While Democrats say the IRS's enhanced collections will raise an additional $124 billion in federal revenue from tax cheats over the next decade, Republicans warn that an army of IRS agents will do nothing but harass small business owners and lower-income workers. According to an analysis by House Republicans, Americans earning less than 75,000 per year will receive 60% of the additional tax audits.

The analysis, which is a conservative estimate based upon recent audit rates and tax filing data, shows that individuals with an annual income of $75,000 or less would be subject to 710,863 additional IRS audits, while those making more than $1 million would receive 52,295 more audits under the bill.

Overall, the IRS would conduct more than 1.2 million more annual audits of Americans’ tax returns, according to the analysis. Another 236,685 of the estimated additional audits would target individuals with an annual income between $75,000 and $200,000.

Democrats insist Americans making less than $400,000 will not be targeted by agents hired due to the spending bill. -NY Post

IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig, however, insists that "audit rates" won't increase relative to recent years.

In a related piece of legislation reported by the Epoch Times, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) introduced a bill last month which would bar the IRS from acquiring ammunition. Known as the “Disarm the IRS Act,” the bill (pdf) stipulates that the IRS is “prohibited from acquiring ammunition” and “notwithstanding any other provision of law.” Reps. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.), Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), and Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) are co-sponsors of the measure, according to his office.

It came after Gaetz, in interviews with Fox News and other outlets, expressed concern after he discovered that the IRS purchased more than $700,000 in ammunition over a span of several days days. The congressman suggested that it’s part of a broader White House plan to disarm Americans.

“Here’s the Biden plan: Disarm Americans, open the border, empty the prisons–but rest assured, they’ll still collect your taxes, and they need $725,000 worth of ammunition, apparently, to get the job done,” he told Fox News last week.

The bill, he said, would put a “total moratorium on the IRS buying ammo. When we used to talk about the IRS being weaponized, we were talking about political discrimination, not actual weapons for the IRS.”

“Undeniably, part of the strategy is that with one hand, the Biden regime is doing everything they can to suppress access to ammunition for regular Americans, while with the other hand, they are scooping up all the ammo that they can possibly find,” Gaetz alleged.

5 Million Rounds

According to a report released by the Government Accountability Office in 2018, the IRS has been stockpiling ammunition and weapons for years. As of 2018, the agency had 4,487 firearms and 5,062,006 rounds of ammunition in its inventory, the report said.

A 2018 report from Forbes noted that the IRS buys guns and ammunition for its Criminal Investigation Division. Agents in that division are the only employees in the IRS that carry firearms, according to its website.

Prevent them from getting ammunition... okay. Now the states need to prevent the IRS from operating within their jurisdictions, just like the FBI.

Anyone can look up the qualifications on https://www.usajobs.gov/. Have no doubt they have Ben tweeted. It occurs on mundane jobs.

IRS service centers (10) in the US are giant paper factories. Look them up. Not big security on a bunch of GS-5,7,9 and temp employees. Just saying.

Are you willing to kill your neighbors and community members?

How’s that for a great interview question?

Just look the interviewer in the eye, and tell them flat out,
I’m willing to kill you too if you step out of line.

That’ll get your hired right away.

This is disturbing, but not for obvious reasons.

It stinks. The Monday raid, coupled with this obviously fake posting smells to high heaven.

It’s a repeat of 1/6/2021:

Setup.

Setup for what? That’s speculative:

False flag, to trigger far righters to attack (the FBI office attacker today is cliche’, but there you are nonetheless), etc....any excuse to further wield their power in an escalation of current actions by the left & their agents in the government.

There is NO WAY this isn’t according to plan, but what I can’t figure out is how this relates to affecting the election.

Stay frosty: We’re in uncharted territory.

Imagine a looping PA announcement aimed at agents:

The authority in this spot has been reclaimed by the neighborhood watch.
You are entering a civilian controlled zone
and are subject to common law.

Some how I only think Jesus can change this.

But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” -Luke 19:8

Every job posting in 2022 should have, “Be willing to use deadly force” as a prerequisite.

Just saying.

At best they’ll hire maybe 2000. And I’m not happy about that. Every bit of that money could go to securing schools.

It takes quite a bit of time to get applicants, do background checks, hire, train, get security clearances, field train and then put in the field, anyone that may want this job.

There isn’t a law enforcement agency anywhere, for that matter, that can recruit, hire and train enough people. So they’re going to have a helluva time finding people to meet the requirements. And don’t ignore the labor trends that clearly show that this younger generation want no part of jobs like that.

And if Pres Trump is re-elected, God willing, this bill and the IRS agent stuff vanishes like a fart in a fan factory.

Years and years ago, I took the Treasury Enforcement Agent exam. I thought I was pretty good at math. They allowed a pencil and some paper. No calculators. All math done by hand. I got my ass handed to me.

In the elevator with a bunch of takers. Everyone looked completely wiped out and no one spoke for a little bit.

Finally one guy says something to the effect of….Holy Sh*t.

Guy #2 said something along the lines of…..I’m an accountant and I’m not even sure what just happened.

The saddest part of this, IMHO, is that the Republicans, because of the 50/50 split, knowing that she’ll give the deciding vote, have the perfect cover. If that vote needed 2 or 3 Republican votes, I guarantee Collins, Murkowski, and one of the other POSs would happily vote for it. For the good in the bill.

Be willing to commit mass murder. I think the same requirement was used in a few other countries. There were lots of takers.

Ironically, the qualifications resemble my preference for LEOs. But I’d add IQ and Criminal/Constitutional degree requirements.

This Job Fair doesn’t bother me. I see this as tactical support for the 100 pound spinster that unexpectedly found herself auditing a psycho. I respect those job requirements — 50+ hours/week, 24/7 availability... not the typical weasel week.

BTW, is there a need to audit the psychos? No.

And how long will it take to hire and train the 87k? 2 years?

Personally, I wouldn’t mind more help at the IRS. I’m still waiting for a 1040X to be processed. The delays are affecting other financial matters.

Good points.

The criminal and constitutional part is stuff you’re taught in an academy. And they pound it into you.

It’s the financial/accounting/forensic accounting part that baffles me. That ain’t easy stuff. And then, you have to have somewhat of a clue as to what is in the, what, 70k page tax code?

I talked to an IRS rep a long time ago, over the phone. They said I owed them money because I failed to file. I had until 15October to file. I demonstrated that I filed on 13 October with documents he had right in front of him. His answer…..Oh.

The selection, background and training will wash so many people out of contention it’ll be laughable. But the fact that they want to do it and have actually set aside the borrowed money for it is the scariest part. They have no shame.

One more….every federal agent “works” a 50hr work week. It’s like a mandatory OT worked into all of their workweeks. I think it’s called LEAP. They all get it.

But let’s not forget about Federal Friday. A day where they all leave their offices around 10-11 in the morning to “check addresses” and do surveillance. Uh huh!!!
