I confess to being a little out of touch here.

I have a very good income, but there’s no way I can cheat on it, because the IRS knows all about it (dividends, stock transactions, IRA activity, etc).

So, there’s nothing the IRA can do to me on the income side.

They can’t do much to me on the deduction side either, because I either take the standard deduction, or when I itemize, I have every receipt to back it up.

So, my question is, “What are they specifically going to target?”

Bartering? Home office deductions? Crypto? Gambling income?

Where’s the tax money at they think is missing?
