FBI Director Christopher Wray issued a forceful statement on Thursday in response to the harsh rhetoric against the agency following the raid of former President Donald Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago.
He said:Unfounded attacks on the integrity of the FBI erode respect for the rule of law and are a grave disservice to the men and women who sacrifice so much to protect others. Violence and threats against law enforcement, including the FBI, are dangerous and should be deeply concerning to all Americans.
Wray went on to praise the men and women of the FBI for their professionalism and commitment to protecting Americans.

In practice, the Agency gets to edit and postpone the Reports.
The FBi, for the first time, under Trump hid the names of the guilty in the report, and then the DoJ IG always finds no political motive.
The IG knew Strzok and Page texted to take the Convo to their Personal IPhones when big things happened. The toothless IG didn’t acquire nor inspect the Personal devices used for discussion or taking down a sitting President.
It’s a system set up to be toothless.

“No, this was Trump’s doing, at the insistence of Krispy Creme Christie.”
Exactly right. Christie lobbied hard for Wray to Donald Trump.
He Reminded Trump repeatedly that he, Christie, supported him after his own defeat. Christie, like nearly all politicians, are scum with their own agenda.
It is obvious in hindsight a good many people Donald Trump defeated endorsed him to gain access to undermine him.
An outsider, a non-politician is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because they have the Peoples Interest at heart. A curse because the learning curve of exactly how devious and corrupt professional politicians are is something that must be learned the hard way.
Dont forget Richard Jewell.
“Trump was horrendous in almost all his appointments.
Of course you like Biden’s appointments.
And obummer’s appointments.”
What xkaydet65 is saying is that, a lot, maybe most, of his high level appointments ended up stabbing him in the back. IOW he failed miserably at picking people who would be loyal to him, and he paid and is paying a tremendous price for those mistakes.
None of Biden’s or Obama’s appointments turned on them the way Trump’s did on him.
He got better toward the end. Hopefully he learned from those disasters.
Yep
+1
hopefully Trump is making a list and choosing carefully who he appoints if he run in 2024. Checking his list” finding our who’s naughty or nice”.
That doesn’t make them bad, just human. The people handing out the orders are the ones to eradicate.
That is not correct.
If your boss tells you to rob a bank or to falsify a book entry, you are a criminal if you do so,
“following orders” will not get you off.
An observation: Over and over for three days and nights we have heard that the reason for the raid was to recover some sacred documents for the National Archives. Just had to get them so they can be kept for posterity.
Now we are told that the documents have something to do with nuclear national defense secrets.
So the FBI is going to turn over nuclear national defense secrets to a museum?
So we have a lie corrected to an insanity?
It certainly is hard to be a good liar. Apparently the FBI and DOJ don’t have anyone smart enough between the two of them to pull it off.
Trump is a brilliant man. There is absolutely no way he would have anything of such importance and dangerous to his reputation in his possession.
If such papers were found on his property, you can bet it is a set-up.
Great point. They knowingly destroyed that guy’s life.
If it is to survive, the FBI has to be cleaned out entirely. If I were asked to do this I would offer a choice between early retirement or termination for the majority of current agents/employees, and then start from scratch.
Any government agency that is allowed to do its own hiring will always wind up the way the FBI has - an institution of group think and ideologues - all of the same stripe. So I would either farm out hiring to outside personnel agencies, or hire on the basis of random numerical selection from a field of those with defined qualifications.
What a feckless goon turd this Wray is.
Piss poor leadership gets piss poor results.
Not only “unfounded”, but “baseless!” and “conspiracy theories!”
He can dish it out, but he can’t take it.
Attacks on the feebs result from their lack of integrity and lack of respect for the rule of law.
I beg to differ. Respect for the feebs is already negative, and falling rapidly into a bottomless pit.
Benedict Arnold was hero, until he turned into something else.
He didn’t address “founded” attacks on the FBI.
Wrey was never a hero.
Arnold is already ahead...
Stop whining, Chrissy. You’re a crook and so are your pals. Corrupt, vindictive scum.
They aren’t unfounded attacks.
But the reasons are sealed.
