Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said she believes the Republican Party is "very sick" and may not be able to recover in the near future.
The GOP "is continuing to drive itself in a ditch, and I think it’s going to take several cycles if it can be healed," Cheney said, according to The New York Times.
"I would much rather serve with (Democratic Reps.) Mikie Sherrill and Chrissy Houlahan and Elissa Slotkin than (Republican Reps.) Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, even though on substance certainly I have big disagreements with the Democratic women I just mentioned," Cheney added, per the Times. "But they love this country, they do their homework and they are people that are trying to do the right thing for the country."
As rumors abound of her own potential presidential run in 2024, Cheney said she "would find it very difficult" to support Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as the party's candidate.
"I think that Ron DeSantis has lined himself up almost entirely with Donald Trump, and I think that’s very dangerous," she said.

She’s become quite the magnet for contempt...
Maybe it’s time to ignore her, and instead focus on other things.

Exactly. She’s out of her mind.

If she's got a problem with DeSantis, then this isn't really about January 6, or Trump's personality, or mean tweets. It's about her not liking their policies. And while I don't think expecting 100% agreement is reasonable, she's clearly way off the reservation if she believes those policies are the greatest threat in this country's history.

You know the biggest problem about the Salem witch trials?
They ended them.

I used to defend Dick Cheney when the left called him a disgusting fascist.
But now I realize they were correct.

Actually there were no masterminds or financiers flown out. Some of Osama’s estranged relatives were flown out, but they were not masterminds or financiers of the plot. There was nothing they could be held on.
Osama was the son of a Syrian woman, not the first wife of the father, and both Osama and his mother were alienated from the family.

I’m worried that 27% of Wyoming Republicans voted for this woman from northern Virginia.

Most of her votes came from Democrats.
