Rasmussen Poll: Republicans Lead on Generic Congressional Ballot Shrinks to 5 Points
Breitbart ^ | July 30, 2022 | Jacob Bliss

Republicans lead Democrats on the generic congressional ballot by five points, five points lower than the previous week, on a Rasmussen Reports poll released Friday.

While the Republicans look to retake control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections — which are only 102 days away — after being in the minority for roughly four years, the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey showed that 46 percent of likely U.S. voters would elect a Republican, compared to the 41 percent who said they would vote for the Democrat.

Thus the Republicans only have a five-piont lead, five less then the previous week when they were up by ten pionts. Five percent said they would vote for another candidate, and the other nine percent said they were unsure.

No it’s not. Repukes are Democrats without the passion. They truly are a horrible party. I hope they win the house. It’s probably better for the Rats to hold the Senate. Having the Repukes take the Senate is just another way for Lieden to look bi partisan as he continues to pass his agenda with no pushback. Much rather the Rats just own it and not have Romney be the balance of power.

Hannity is KILLING the GOP and Trump. Too many on both sides despise his relentless arrogance and phony scandals. He cost Trump in 2020 and he’s costing the GOP 2 seats at least, with his endorsement of Oz and Walker. It’s going to get worse. Fox doesn’t know what the hell to do with him.

Shows how non MAGA RINOs in the R party really suck. If true it is pathetic. Not sure I believe this gaslighting poll.

This is all planned, the media always does it, even in 2010 when Republicans had massive gains, all the generic ballots had the parties pretty much tied. If the liberal media let the truth out it would depress democrat turnout, so they lie and make the democrat base think they have a shot.

A poll released last week showed the Dems with a five point generic edge. I think it was Suffolk.

I have been afraid of that. The overturning of Roe has set libtard rage alight. The anti-conservative propaganda is rolling like a tidal wave now and will surely convert some from leaning R back to the D side.

When combined with the R’s failure to talk up the failures of Biden’s regime and the dropping of gas prices, it may not be a wipeout for the D’s.

Re: "The abortion thing is very, very costly to the right."

I thought so, too.

But recently, the polling on that issue has come back closer to 50-50.

Abortion is not one of my top issues, either, but how long can pro-choice people pretend that the Supreme Court decision has any impact at all on pro-choice states?

I live in Washington state, and the abortion issue has almost completely vanished - because absolutely nothing has changed in Washington state.

Excellet points. A lot of people wrongly assume that disapproval always comes from the opposing party/ideology. The truth is that it often comes from the politician's own nominal allies who are upset the President isn't as far left or right as they wanted.

So, Biden's success in enacting more wacky left-wing ideas is going to lead to higher approval from voters on the left, and improving disapproval ratings.

It’s not Hannity’s endorsement of Oz and Walker that was the problem. It was Trump’s.

Manchin flip-flopping at Schumer’s feet on BBB tells me the dems are feeling more confident about November. The House is still in reach for the GOP; the Senate looks like a much tougher challenge. The talk about a “red wave” is a bit far-fetched at this point.

Polls are highly inaccurate for those and other reasons. It is particularly difficult to get state-level polls done accurately. Expect surprises.

I have friends and relatives who are hard core Mega supporters who claim they will never vote again.

Those same morons are right here on FR, doing everything they can to convince others to stop voting. I can’t fathom the stupidity and insanity of that track. Throwing in the towel and surrendering is not some sort of virtue. Saying “I’m notTA votingz No MoARH!” Is the precise reason that we are in the mess that we are in.

Even if you believed every trailer park conspiracy out there, not voting doesn’t fix anything. It just would make the job of the “lizard people rigging things” easier. Why would you want to do that?

Rasmussen changed hands a few years ago. Since then they have been a lot more rat leaning. The rats always lead in generic polling so if Rass has them behind we are still OK.

The reality is it’s MINUS-5 after voter fraud takes place.

Right now the leader in terms of trends is Civiqs. It has Biteme up 2 from 29 to 31 over the last three weeks.

1. Biteme has lost the Hispanic male vote....they are big on Family, border control and against abortion...as well as illegals taking their jobs.

2. Bitme has lost Hispanic women because of above and the cost of groceries.

3 Bitme has lost the Male vote because of illegals taking their jobs.

4. Biteme has lost the independents vote because they were better under Trump with more jobs, low inflation and $2.00 gallon gas.

5. There is a rump core of those left that hate America.

6. Anyone left out of the list above will not vote for Biteme

Or if they do....give the pollster "leftie" answers.....since polling has also been politicized under Biteme....and those giving the wrong answers will be sent to a Fema camp to be "re-educated
