You know, 30+ years ago when we first brought our daughter home from the hospital after being born and my wife was in bed recovering from the C-section and the baby would get fussy at night, I would get out of bed, pick her up and take her into the living room and put on ‘Unchained Melody’ and hold her tight and dance slowly to that song until she drifted off, that happened many times and I enjoyed each and every minute.

Soloman Burke was an awesome talent.

The song is listed as "Cry to me" on the soundtrack, but the line "Don;t you fwwl likw crying is used throughout the song, so it is confusing: Dirty Dancing Scene with Cry to Me

Cry to Me - Solomon Burke

Tarantino has a real knack for selecting great songs for his movies!

Who can forget this one:

Stuck in the Middle with You -- Steelers wheel (Not for the faint of Heart)

Yeah, you never hear those songs in the same way again. He also used Bowie’s “Cat People” in Inglourious Basterds, and while it seemed strange to use it for a movie that supposedly took place during WWII, it worked.

Great moment Procon. thanks for sharing.

A few months ago I got into watch "reaction videos" -- Young people listening to a song or watching a movie for the first time. The reactions of 20 somethings listening to Bobby Hatfield were the best.

let me tell the story. i can tell it all.
about a mountain boy who ran illegal alcohol.
his daddy made the whiskey, the son, he drew the load.
and when his engine roared, they called the highway, thunder road.

It’s actually called “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You”. Yes, that was a great scene in the film.
