"Charades" ... OR
"Oklahoma"
WHAT A GREAT SCENE! FROM A GREAT FILM!
THANKS!
I was about to shut down the computer when I saw this thread and just had to scroll through to see what tunes were there-1st one that came to my mind was “The End” from Apocalypse Now-being a Doors fan. I saw Jesus Christ Superstar-on stage, original cast in SA in 1971 when I was in college there-I was absolutely blown away by “I Don’t Know How to Love Him”-I still find it haunting and beautiful.
The Ballad of Thunder Road
(PS the son, he drove the load)
Somehow Cool Hand Luke popped into my mind.
The Soundtrack.
He certainly sings like an angel.
Though, I haven’t heard a version of that beautiful song that I haven’t loved.
To each his own. Brown & Co. don’t touch me, Hibbler, is always great, but while I was on the channel I saw Roy Hamilton’s version, which is also great, second only to Hatfield’s IMHO. Too bad he died young. Great voice!
Check it out.

You’re right! A great fave from the very first time I heard it. Also, practically any instrumental version of “Ghost Riders In the Sky”. I’m partial to DUANE EDDY, and THE VENTURES versions.

Can’t go wrong with either.
Among my favorites, David Gates and Bread "Goodbye Girl". "Remember Me This Way" from the movie Casper by Jordan Hill, Diana Ross, Theme from Mahognany "Do You Know Where You're Going To" and Stephen Bishop "Walking On Air" from The boy Who Could Fly.
Also Saturday Night Fever music like "Night Fever by the Beegees, Yvonne Eliman "If I Can't Have You". I could go on and on.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Hi there, EGC!
I posted Goodbye Girl tonight in my music post. Hope you and Gizmo had fun at the lake today!
ABSOLUTELY!
Had my first in Scotland (long story), and when we came back to the States for a while to show her around to the families, I called an old friend of mine that had been a teacher of mine in High School, and told her that I had a child (back in those days a wife was just naturally assumed). “Ah,” she said, “now, you have a hostage to fate.” I knew immediately what she meant, and obviously, still remember what she said.
Keep the Faith.
