Larry Norman’s records were successful in the Christian market but he never hit the mainstream as a commercial success. Granted, he was the trailblazer but he didn’t cross into the mainstream market.
Hillsong has a number of singles and albums that have hit gold and platinum in the global mainstream charts. They even have an album that hit #1 in Australia’s mainstream market.
