While Donald Trump may no longer be the president, it was clear on Thursday night that Rep. Liz Cheney, the vice chair of the House select committee investigating January 6, was speaking to that same audience of one.

Voters sometimes try to be clever. They may have thought that having somebody with close connections to the Vice President would get them more attention and benefits from Washington than they would get otherwise.
Or the local Republican party did what they often do - not much. And they got whoever had some connections and power.

Finally a comment that gets to the point. Cheney is irrelevant, this is about throwing the greatest amount of dirt and doubt against Trump and will end when they indict him for the biggest made-up thing they can.
