Didn’t the Democrats just crusade to defund the police?

Federal funding for police with with more federal strings attached leading to total federal control.

Ah, no thanks.

Where is the money really going?
Just guessing it’s not going directly to law enforcement.

What’s the catch? Federal oversight within the departments themselves?

Polls came back saying people won’t vote for politicians who turn their cities into lawless shiteholes. Sorry AOC, here’s a hankie...

“Yet another $5 billion would be earmarked to create programs designed to stop crime before it occurs.”

What the hell does that even mean?

Of course it won’t go directly to LE organizations, blue states will intercept it and it will go into their general funds. Blue State legislatures might allow a total of maybe 5-10% of it to be appropriated for local law enforcement, if any.

What kind of police?

Asking for over half of the country.

The article says nothing of it, but I have no doubt the funding will flow exactly through the deep-state/leftist Fed.gov agencies, for the intended programs to exert maximum control.

The catch will be requirements for the BLM/Snowflake stuff. In blue states that means no arresting of the melanistic ferals allowed and “no bail” release to become mandatory.

This is the real plan. Federal funding of police means federal control of policing.

Exactly. And just more money for the big city political crooks to steal. A redistribution of taxpayer money from the safer red states to the big blue, lenient on crime, states.

Of course you are absolutely correct. There is no way in hell the Democrats are going to send more than $30 billion dollars just to police departments because their left-wing constituency would go nuts. This is all about the other things in that bill that have nothing to do with providing more money to police.

That being said, funding local police is a local responsibility anyway. The people who live in these deep blue cities that have been excoriating the police for years should have to bear the fiscal and personal safety consequences that come with that. Leave my tax dollars out of it.

If they can't hire enough cops, too bad.

These people are evil. Defund the police, refund the police....the country needs to take these scum behind the woodshed and give them a real ass whipping.
