Biden seeks to mobilize on crime and climate ahead of midterms

Washington (AFP) – Climate change in Massachusetts on Wednesday, gun control in Pennsylvania on Thursday, next week -- law and order in Florida.

US President Joe Biden is back on the road to try to mobilize voters ahead of November midterm elections, which are forecast to be painful for the Democratic Party.

Biden will travel to the city of Wilkes-Barre in northeast Pennsylvania on Thursday to burnish his credentials in fighting crime, at a time when violence is surging in the United States.

That comes after he sought to revive his climate change agenda on Wednesday in the northeastern state of Massachusetts, and ahead of a visit Monday to Florida -- at the invitation of an association of African-American police officers -- where he will also participate in a campaign meeting with his party.

It remains to be seen whether the flurry of activity will do much to boost the Democrats' chances in the midterms at a time when Biden is more unpopular than ever.

According to a study conducted by Quinnipiac University in the state of Connecticut and released Wednesday, Biden's approval ratings hit a new low, with only 31 percent of Americans satisfied with the way he is running the country.

Mobilize on crime? So he’s gonna arrest most all of DC and turn away crooks and drug dealers on the southern border? Arrest the bureaucracy in every state capital?

Gun control and the destruction of the petrochemical industry.

I am thrilled he is doubling down on things that Americans hate.

He may push so many people to the opposition that not even the massive voter fraud will help.

PedoJoe Bidet can't even mobilize himself to get to the toilet without sharting his "Depends".

Hence all "dictates" are being issued by the resident commietards and should be dismissed as such.

So out of touch. Nobody cares about “climate,” because they all can see that whatever the idiots in DC do about it will cost everyone big money in the end. So dwelling on “climate emergency” will backfire big time. As for crime, most people understand that the Rats have enabled the upsurge in crime by their anti-police tactics. Climate and crime will ring the bell for the 12% of the people who already think the democrats are right, and will alienate everybody else. So I say “Yes, go fit Joe.”

Mobilize on Crime? A day late and a dollar short—Too Little, to Late. He must crack the whip the way Trump couldn’t do and force DEMOCRAT Mayors and Governors to Enforce the Laws!

Washington Moves Forward with Plan to Ban Non-Electric Cars by 2030

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling for an end to private car ownership. A recently published paper calls for an end to “wasteful” private vehicle ownership in favor of public transportation and communal cars. “The average car or van in England is driven just 4% of the time,” the WEF paper states. It then calls on car owners to sell their vehicle because, “Car sharing platforms such as Getaround and BlueSG have already seized that opportunity to offer vehicles where you pay per hour used.”

Ending private car ownership is essential to addressing climate change, the WEF argues. The forum goes on to advocate for the same principles to be applied to city and home designs as well.

“A design process that focuses on fulfilling the underlying need instead of designing for product purchasing is fundamental to this transition,” the WEF wrote. “This is the mindset needed to redesign cities to reduce private vehicles and other usages.”

A number of European nations and U.S. states have already passed legislation that will ban the sale of non-electric cars as soon as 2030. Washington, New York and California have already passed such measures while a growing number of EU member states have done the same.

In Ireland, the government has told citizens that they will be packed into densely populated cities in order to combat climate change. Drivers will be forced off the roads as part of a plan that will “revolutionize” people’s lifestyle and behaviors.

In addition, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has directed global governments to drastically cut oil supply to domestic consumers in order to encourage compliance by “nudging” people out of their private cars.

The IEA 10-point plan to drive “changes in the behavior of consumers” and reduce gas demand at the pump includes reducing speed limits, working from home three days a week, more electric cars, car-free Sundays, more cycle lanes, cheaper public transport and greater use of long-distance trains over planes, Breitbart News reported.

In order to avert a “climate apocalypse”, the government plans to force people “out of private cars because they are the biggest offenders for emissions” with proposals that include banning fossil fuel vehicles from towns and cities nationwide to intentionally cripple ordinary motorists.

However, our grandparents, parents, uncles/aunts and older cousins knew that owning your own vehicle enabled them and their families to escape to better places to live in/work in.

Driving with their families from an area that was hostile or uneconomical to live in or to work in.

The Depression and WWII taught them that reality.

That reality is still valid at this time. Look at our citizens leaving Blue cities to move to Red States to live in, work in and for the safety of their families.
