The mother of a 10-year-old rape victim told Telemundo on Thursday that her daughter is “fine,” suggesting that the media are lying about her daughter’s alleged rapist, 27-year-old Gerson Fuentes. Fuentes was arrested and charged with first-degree rape on Tuesday after allegedly confessing to raping the Ohio minor, who reportedly became pregnant and obtained an abortion out-of-state.
“Everything they are saying against him is a lie,” a woman claiming to be the victim’s mother said, according to translated reporting from Telemundo. The reporter was at the home of Fuentes when the victim’s mother answered the door. She did not give her name, nor did she want to be on camera. The mother added that her 10-year-old daughter “is fine,” said Jorge Bonilla, who serves as Media Research Center’s director of MRC Latino.
The relationship between Fuentes, the victim, and the girl’s mother remains unclear. Bonilla speculated that the alleged rapist could be connected to the mother and noted that fear of deportation could be a factor contributing to the bizarre interview. “This portion of a broader interview sheds significant light on the familial dynamics of this case, and further vindicates all skepticism over how the story broke and was handled,” he said. “We don’t even get to this point without the critical work of [PJ Media’s Megan Fox] and so many others.”
“This appears to confirm my thesis of a domestic situation wherein the confessed rapist is also the paramour of the victim’s mother (other familial relation is possible but less likely),” Bonilla said. “Unfortunately, I saw many such cases while working as a court interpreter.”
The director continued to pose questions about the case. “What was the time gap between the initial reporting of the rape and the filing of criminal charges?” he asked. “Why did the referring abortion provider not report the rape to authorities? Was the child forced to live with her rapist in furtherance of an abortion narrative?” “Was the child compelled to stay quiet until after news of the abortion was leaked to the media? If so, how so?” Bonilla said.
“Was criminal reporting of the rape of a Latina girl suppressed or delayed in furtherance of a political agenda?” asked Bonilla. “These questions need to be answered ASAP.”

If it wasn’t for the activist abortionists needing to spill a private story, a sympathetic story for their cause, of underage sexual misconduct allowed by perpetrating consenting adults, to make the doctors case for abortion, we would never have found out about this terrible incident.
Note to the cops: You need to DNA test the 10 year old vic and her alleged biological mother.
Make sure something else in addition to the rape isn’t also going on.
I don’t think they expected any push back. Then it blew up. Now the Dr investigated for not reporting as well as the person who transported her. Maybe no girl exists and they found a patsy family to throw under bus. Not to mention original state actually allowed for an exception.
I believe there’s a provision for a “medical emergency” in Ohio’s new law, which would have been used in this case, for the exact reason you state.
How can a 10 year old girl who was raped twice be “fine”?
The mother should be charged with child abuse.
This is a few years old. Ohio seems to be able to produce a knocked-up ‘tween any time it will advance the abortion argument.
Some lawyers are saying NO. Just the fact that a 12 year old or 15 year old or 10 year old is pregnant is not a medical emergency. A Dr might make the case for a 10 year old but it would be subjective. A 13 year old 6 weeks into a pregnancy is not a medical emergency. That was often the age of women giving birth in the 1800s.
The DM has finally run this story, but it’s the DM and the story contradicts itself at times, is unclear and confusing in others:

Were police informed on June 22? Or was the referral made on June 22 and eventually police made aware? If the latter, Franklin County Children’s Services has some explaining to do. If the police were informed on June 22, what took them so long to get the report in the system and track down the child rapist? Why was AG Yost still in the dark about this case almost three weeks later?
Farther down in the article: “According to court records, a report was generated on June 22 with the Columbus Division of Police for the girl’s rape. Roe was overturned two days later on June 24.” A report was generated “with” the police??? Not by the police or to the police. What does that mean? Which agency is covering its behind? Children’s Services or LE?

More from the DM: “Additionally, an Indiana Department of Health filing obtained by Fox on Thursday, revealed that Indianapolis physician Dr. Caitlin Bernard reported the girl’s alleged rapist was approximately 17 years old.”

The mother told Bernard that? To cover for Fuentes? Or? What’s the real deal here?

DM again: “On July 6, the victim identified Fuentes to authorities as the person who raped her.
A week later, Fuentes was served a search warrant for a saliva sample and was taken into custody where he confessed to raping the victim multiple times.”

What took so long? And where was Fuentes living all this time? Did he live in the home with the mother when he was raping her daughter? If so, did he continue to live there all that time?

DM: “He also testified that DNA evidence collected from the clinic in Indianapolis will be tested against samples taken from Fuentes, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
Officials are also testing DNA collected from the child’s siblings in an attempt to confirm who fathered the fetus.”

In the DM bullet points: “Officials plan to compare Fuentes’ DNA to that of the aborted fetus” That line nearly made me lose my breakfast.
Fuentes confessed, they got the samples from the Indiana clinic, so why take or test samples from the little girl’s brothers? When were these samples collected from her brothers and why? Are any of her brothers 17 years old? Did the mother do the unthinkable and allow one of her sons to fall under suspicion to protect Fuentes? Was Fuentes her boyfriend? Live-in boyfriend? The little girl is of “Mexican ethnicity” according to Barnes’ report. If correct, it’s unlikely Fuentes, a Guatemalan national, is a relative.

Now from Fox News: “The alleged rape made headlines earlier this month after Bernard told The Indy Star on July 1 she had performed an abortion for a young rape victim who she said was forced to cross state lines from Ohio in order to receive the procedure. Ohio implemented a six-week abortion ban shortly after the Supreme Court overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision which granted women the federal right to an abortion.
“It’s hard to imagine that in just a few short weeks we will have no ability to provide that care,” Bernard told The Indy Star at the time, referencing a potential similar abortion ban that could go into effect in Indiana following the high court’s ruling.”

In addition, after Fuentes was charged Wednesday, Republican Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita announced he would investigate Bernard for failing to report the abortion, saying “failure to do so constitutes a crime in Indiana.” But the documents obtained Thursday by Fox News Digital show Bernard successfully filed the proper report with the state on July 2.

The documents show Bernard performed a non-surgical abortion for a 6-weeks pregnant 10-year-old girl of Mexican ethnicity on June 30.
So, the little girl was “referred” on June 22 in Ohio, this woman performed the abortion on June 30 in Indiana, went mouthing off to the press on July 1, and filed the report on July 2. Hmm.
It’s easy to spot Bernard’s agenda here, but the timeline is also important.
Ohio not only has an exception to protect the life of the mother but also “to prevent a serious risk of the substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman.” Furthermore, it’s not clear if this case was raised after a heartbeat was detected (usually around six weeks). Why not? Could the doctor detect a heartbeat or no? Simple question, never answered in the media, at least I’venot seen it answered.
Was Bernard truly ignorant of the law, or was she pulling this “forced to go out of state” stunt to further her agenda? Did the mother want an out-of-state abortion for her daughter in an attempt to protect Fuentes? Did Barnes and/or the mother think that by the time Indiana officials came to the clinic to collect DNA evidence, it would have already been disposed of and incinerated? (So painful for me to write that last bit.) Was the mother here illegally, too, and afraid of being reported? Did Barnes imagine she was heroically protecting a poor illegal immigrant in distress from deportation?
What the heck is going on here? It looks like this poor little girl was let down by the one person she should be able to trust completely: her mother (if she really is her mother). And then by Children’s Services and/or the police. And then by this doctor who needlessly dragged this out and had the child carted to Indiana. Then the abortion activists and politicians jumped in and turned it into a circus (doctor’s fault). How sick is that?
What a mess. Will the questions ever be answered? Will this little girl be protected?

Someone lied in that report that the Dr filled out. She said the person who had sex with the minor was also a minor.
I think she could have been forced into prostitution and all of this was to try to hide it.
And it got blown up with the Dr because she had an agenda. Perhaps she actually believed the rapist was a minor and thus would be protected from all the info going public

So it could be the doctor lying to protect the rapist, or the girl or her “mother” lying to protect the rapist, or maybe someone else raped the little girl.
The investigation needs to continue, and the real truth needs to come out. We all think this is horrible for a number of reasons. We can’t make anything better without knowing the truth.
Oh, and the poor child should be removed from this home. This supposed mother of the child says she is fine, with being raped twice and now having an abortion. It’s an abusive home.
I am thinking the rapist in this woman’s boyfriend. These are Central Americans. Even Mexican are more civilized. And they are all living off the taxpayer. The man works usually, and the rest is taxpayer funded.
Yes, I considered that, too. It’s a horrible thought, but certainly possible. It does happen. And the trafficking of women and children across our border is another reason the open border is a cruelty to those arriving here as well as to those already living here. Also, while it may or may not apply so much in this case, illegals are afraid to report crimes committed againt them, making them easy prey while allowing criminals to run loose among us. The libs who think they’re “helping” these people are badly mistaken.
It’s very likely the mother (if she is indeed the mother) told the activist doctor the rapist was 17, and the doctor believer her and therefore thought this was the perfect case to suit her agenda for the very reason you wrote: as both victim and peep were minors, the information would never go public.
The doctor’s report identifies the little girl as being “of Mexican ethnicity.” Curated (the confessed rapist) is a Guatemalan national here illegally. It’s unlikely he’s a relative, far more likely you are correct in guessing he’s the mother’s boyfriend.
