I believe there’s a provision for a “medical emergency” in Ohio’s new law, which would have been used in this case, for the exact reason you state.

Some lawyers are saying NO. Just the fact that a 12 year old or 15 year old or 10 year old is pregnant is not a medical emergency. A Dr might make the case for a 10 year old but it would be subjective. A 13 year old 6 weeks into a pregnancy is not a medical emergency. That was often the age of women giving birth in the 1800s.
