Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter Paul and Mary. There doesn't seem to be many songs on that subject. The only other dragon song that I can think of is The Green-Eyed Dragon With 13 Tails by John Charles Thomas (1933)--a weird song by a singer most famous for his version of The Lord's Prayer (1936).

Me and You and Dog Named Boo Includes the album introduction to the song that we didn't get to hear back in the day when we were listening on our AM radios.
The Bee Gees take their dog on a road trip:
Edge of the Universe
A largely forgotten gem in the Bee Gees' playlist.
