Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday blamed “Radical Left Democrats” for rising inflation after Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that the consumer price index in June rose to 9.1% from one year ago.
"Inflation just hit ANOTHER 40-year high of 9.1%, which is terrible for our Country," Trump said in a message released by his political action committee, Save America.
"Fuel prices up 60%, Airfare up 34%, Eggs up 33% — how can people survive this? How can businesses survive this? Our Country is so weak right now because the Radical Left Democrats have no clue what they are doing.
"All they want to do is ‘get Trump,’ and they are willing to destroy our Nation to do it. America will not allow this to go on for much longer. Don’t vote for the Radical Left Democrats, vote for America First Republicans —Save America!"
President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that the "inflation reading is unacceptably high, it is also out of date."

Why is it that TRUMP is the only one saying anything about it?
Our side should be beating these assholes over the head with it!
There’s going to be hell to pay. Heads are gonna roll.
Will the left stage a riot which will then be blamed on Trump?
Big whoops. Wrong thread.
There are moments in economic history when you know the government is out to destroy the economy and send the nation into hyper-inflation.
In the modern era, we can look to the Democrats advocacy of the termination of Bretton Woods, out of control spending under Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama and Biden, and the Democrats insistence for the COVID Relief payments that cost trillions.
My Democrat relatives are starting to feel the pain.
They refuse to believe their votes caused their own pain.
He needs to stay on this message as much as possible. Forget about Musk.
Don't forget the out of control spending under Nixon, Ford, both Bush's, and Trump as well.
and the Democrats insistence]for the COVID Relief payments that cost trillion
There were COVID relief packaged under Trump, and would have been more had he been reelected. The seeds of inflation began under Trump with the COVID lockdowns, stimulus spending, and the supply chain issues, coupled with slow FED response. It's continued under Biden with oil supply isseues, massive spending, and increased demand. About the best you can say is inflation might have been a bit lower under Trump because he may not have made the same mistakes as Biden. But inflation would have been there.
Our Country is so weak right now because the Radical Left Democrats.
Indeed all the mess they created was no accident it’s a plan take down every system to it’s lowest level remove power and rights.
The reported rate of inflation is probably vastly understated, the real rate being somewhere in the neighborhood of 13%-15%. The measure being used underestimates some very real increases, like real estate rentals and amortization on longer term appliances such as air conditioning and kitchen appliances, and leaves out entirely things like home solar power collection installations.
Too much money in the hands of too few people.
I had three low end renters get a year of COVID relief money. Free rent and electric for an entire year. Two of them, both white women apparently couldn’t handle suddenly having all that extra money. Both apparently got involved with drugs and ended up skipping out when the money stopped. I had to serve notices, so it wasn’t a voluntary leaving. The third one apparently saved her sudden cash and may be buying the house from me.
Chinese Leftists, too
It is only going to go up more. The 9.1% is still not accurate as we know the prices have gone way up and packages of items have shrunk.
It is more like 17%+ according to some articles I have read.
Hopefully the coming Nov elections will stop further increases as long as oil and gas is allowed again to be drilled and pipelines built to deliver.
