Pollster: GOP looking beyond Trump in early primary and caucus states
Washinton Examiner ^ | July 13, 2022 | Paul Bedard

Republican pollster Rick Shaftan is like a lot of political junkies: He looks to his mother for hints on what real America is thinking. Lately, their talks have been about former President Donald Trump and whether he should run again. SNIP Of course, Trump does make some news, but it's mostly complaining about the 2020 election results and cheering on some 140 GOP candidates he has endorsed for 2022 who have won so far. SNIP “It’s actually even worse than it appears for Trump,” said Shaftan, whose new poll shows a dramatic drop in support for Trump in Iowa and a bump up for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. “No. 1, he keeps talking about 2020, which is the past. It's ancient history to people. What it says to people is that he's more interested in himself than attacking Biden, going after the Biden agenda."

Hey, troll-boi.

Sure are a lot of you class of ‘98 suddenly trashing Trump.

Fraud for the last election was on the order of tens of millions of ballots.

The real question is, why so many RINOs participated, up to the Supreme Court shooting down a lawsuit by states, and other courts ignoring black letter constitutional language the the choice of electors should be left to the state legislatures.

I’m a Jeffersonian conservative - limited federal power, love the 10th Amendment and I like Jefferson’s famous phrase that “the government that governs least, governs best.” I’m a conservative who loves the Constitution.
I agree that the 2020 election was stolen in the 5 battle ground states. Mail-in ballots, drop boxes, and closing down only to open up with Dems counting mail-in ballots all night, etc.. The Republican legislatures in GA, PA, MI, WI and AZ need to take stronger action to tighten the process up.
My primary point is winning. We won’t be running against Biden in 2024. We can’t afford to lose. I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, and if he gets the nomination, I will vote for him again. When I analyze the variables involved I don’t think Trump gives us the best chance. He has our base in his hip pocket, but we need more than the base to win. I think a lot of people outside our base, whose votes we will need, are a little tired of the drama. DeSantis’ policies are just as good as Trump’s, he gets results just like Trump, and he has shown that he can push back. But he’s not offensive when he does it. If we lose in 2024, the country is probably gone, so I go with who I think gives us the best chance.

That’s the question if you want to be mad and feel wronged. it’s not the question if you want to produce a better result next time. Producing a better result is what I care about, and I think it’s the only thing any of us should care about.

Calling people silly names doesn’t help. Not when you do it and not when Trump does it. I taught my children not to do that when they were still in elementary school.

They should be asked if they want the same kind of policies for the economy and energy and the border and for foreign relations and for the military. If they do, which I’m sure most do, then, they would be asking for Trump in 2024.

Emotion over reality. How we got Biden... Facts and results over Fiction + Trump

Really? So Trump got 76 Million votes in '20. If he ran there is no reason to believe he would get a few million more say 78 to 79 million. Of course that does not translate to an electoral victory but hard to believe that it wouldn't. Biden's 81 million so called "votes" in '20 were BS. I think that amount was peak fraud, a one-off.

The next Democrat to run in '24 will be lucky to get a combined steal and legitimate vote over 68-69 million. Therefore Trump crushes it.

Emotion over reality. How we got Biden

Reality is that...

Most people, even those that want to deny it (including democrats), know that Biden didn't win the election. We got Biden through election fraud. Period!!!!!!!

Am I the only person who watches all of Trump’s rallies? I’m old enough to read a person’s personality. Trump has a laser on those who have attacked him. He is not a forgiving man. He will have his revenge eventually. If anyone feels that he can’t do so, they should make a point to go to RSBN and watch the full MAGA rally he held in Alaska a few days ago. Watch him, but also watch the response of the people who traveled long distances to be there.

Many appear to be wondering if Trump gives us the best chance of winning. I don't think he does, but if he is nominated I will vote for him, and cross my figures.

Whoever it is, if he or she isn't hated by the unethical, entertainingly ignorant, talentless, intellectually vacuous morons like Bill Krystal, then it will make no difference if they win or not.

Umm, no.

If you don’t face the complicity of the RINOs, then there is no incentive either to replace them or hold them accountable. It’s not about emotion but accurate assignation of causes

And twirl your bowtie harder over the kids. Like RINOs, those who counsel patient restrained defeat should be called out.

Dhimmi Carter gave us Reagan: and the last GOP Presidents the voters had to compare him to were Nixon (Watergate by repute, resigned in lieu of impeachment) and Ford (”Whip Inflation Now” buttons and clumsy).

Now compare the Biden economy and foreign policy to the same under Trump.

Without fraud, 50-state landslide.
