Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, one of the conservative justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade last month, was forced to exit through a back door of Morton’s Steakhouse in downtown Washington, D.C., by protesters who had learned he was there.
Protesters gathered outside the steakhouse on Wednesday night upon learning that Kavanaugh was inside and called the restaurant’s manager demanding that the justice be kicked out, according to Politico’s Daniel Lippman.
Morton’s condemned the actions of the protesters, writing to Politico: “Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were unduly harassed by unruly protestors while eating dinner at our Morton’s restaurant.”
“Politics, regardless of your side or views, should not trample the freedom at play of the right to congregate and eat dinner,” the statement continued. “There is a time and place for everything. Disturbing the dinner of all of our customers was an act of selfishness and void of decency.”

Good for Morton’s. A restaurant should not let politics determine who can eat there. This is not the first instance of protesters tried to stop someone from enjoying a restaurant. I wonder how the protesters learned Kavanaugh was at Morton’s? If an employee alerted the protesters, that person should be fired.

Maxine waters and schumer and ilk can entice and encourage violent acts, and the press do nothing, but if Trump had done the same thing, encouraging people to harass the left, he would have been thrown out,of office and perhaps arrested for Inciting violence or some such nonsense, and the press would be going more mental with 24/7 coverage and accusations

Not only should there definitely not be statehood in DC, but home rule needs to end as well.
One of the specific reasons for carving out a federal district is to prevent federal institutions being intimidated by local prejudices.
In this case, it means preventing the harassment of Supreme Court justices in a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans 8 to 1 and that voted 90% for Joe Biden.
