Following extensive damage from an apparent explosive device, the mysterious Georgia Guidestones have been brought down. The structure was damaged early Wednesday morning in an apparent act of vandalism.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated at noon that around 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning, "unknown individuals" detonated an explosive device that destroyed a "large portion" of the mysterious structure.
A video taken by SKYFOX showed that one of the four pillars of the structure had been completely destroyed, damaging the granite slab it was supporting.
(1/3) The GBI and Elbert County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an explosion that destroyed the Georgia Guidestones near Elberton, GA.
The preliminary information indicates that unknown individuals detonated an explosive device at around 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6th.

I bet Ted Turner paid for them. Jane ruined him.
Gates has a backup copy in his office.
Mildly funny in essence, but absolutely funny in effect... because it is so easy to visualize.
So there should be video of somebody placing the explosive.
Nope, county property, (from video interview with caretaker on an earlier thread. )
..... Just thinking outside the box ...... But .... Any chance that there were explosives embeded inside one of the stones by the creator and was timed to go off on a certain date?
Don’t really care for it but it is as on private property and funded by private money. But these are the times we live in. Don’t like something, tear it down. Thanks, leftist. Gone are the days of “live and let live”Well said. If it was on private property, funded by private money, I don't have a problem with it. Yep, live and let live.
At least the buddhists owned their statuary. Whoever stood this evil piece of hogwash up in that place is a coward and too cowardly to own it.
I am sure it doesn’t bother you when leftists tear down crosses and burn churches, does it?
Yeah, I’m leaning toward “struck” but I do wish the resolution was better.
I believe the land it is on was donated to the county, so it is public property, not private property.
Guidestones were built around 1980. Turner didn’t go Left until around 10 years later.
The monument was probably older money, like Rockefellers or children/grandchildren of John MacArthur.
The land is owned by Elbert County
Perhaps the cameras weren’t working at the time....ya’know, and the depressed guidestones committed suicide, like Epstein.
I had CCTV video of a lightning strike near my office some years ago - that's exactly what it looked like on those old analog cameras at night. Instead of crumbling stone, I saw the image brighten a bit, then the aftermath - a smoking hole in the turf where it hit ground. Lightning hitting wet granite can absolutely cause that sort of destruction.
...and Benghazi ain’t goin’ away!
Wish I could find a slo-mo.
Everything the idiot deep state does eventually blows up in their faces. Monuments to the deep state’s stupidity include:
1. Missing 500,000 ChiComms mustered on the Korean border in 1950.
2. Missing the Tet offensive.
3. Missing the fall of the Berlin Wall.
4. Missing 9-11.
I saw it said that lightening can hit stone and explode it if it contains moisture.
That’s it!
The guidestones didn’t kill themselves.
I would like to know the explosives used.
