In my senior year at my small town Missouri high school, we got a new class mate at the beginning of the school year. He was new in town and was renting a small house. He was a full time student for the entire year.
He was smart, studious and friendly, 21 years old and active duty United States Navy, He was evasive about why the Navy was sending him back to high school and left town as soon as high school ended. The girls really liked him but he didn’t socialize with them out of school or any of the boys either and his picture was not in the class picture.
