SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Gov. Gavin Newsom is running for reelection in California, but his latest television ad is airing in Florida.
The 30-second spot scheduled to air on Fox News starting Monday takes shots at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his policies, while drawing a contrast with California.
“Freedom, it’s under attack in your state. Republican leaders, they’re banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors,” Newsom says while images of DeSantis and former President Donald Trump flash on screen.
“I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight. Or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom — freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love,” Newsom says.
Newsom has said he has no interest in running for president?

I think is a ploy to get former california residents to still vote for him in absentia.
“Criminalizing doctors”.
The sheer chutzpah it’s breathtaking. No mention of what they did to doctors in California who wanted to treat their patients for Covid using “unapproved methods“.
The stunning thing is, they seem to get completely away with this open lying, deception, and hypocrisy. They are never called to account for it.
That may be at the root of the most egregious thing that is wrong in this country today. There are no consequences for outright lying in society, in the media, or under oath. It is actually encouraged and rewarded.
I hope he runs for president. newsom has been in the CA leftist bubble way too long. He doesn’t even realize that his politics will go over like a lead balloon outside CA.
Or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom — freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love,” Newsom says.

The disproportionate number of U-Hauls leaving California tells a different story.
Newsom does not have the facts or the intellectual capacity to take on DeSantis. Some liberal billionaire gave Newsom the money to take his shot. DeSantis has openly mocked and humiliated Biden and his cabal. Newsom, who hopes one day to be President will end up regretting this ploy.
Leftists believe in freedom of speech? Only if you say exactly what they want you to say.
Makes one wonder what alternate reality these people live in!
“‘Join us in California’: Newsom targets GOP in Florida ad”
‘Join us in California’ aka Hell on Earth: Newsom targets GOP in Florida ad
There, fixed it
When asked about the ads (and you know he will be) DeSantis should reply that he is all for the freedom of believing what is best for you and your family...and if you believe that leaving Florida for California is best, then we’ll do anything we can to help you on your way.
He just wants their money ,LOL
Pay no attention to this liar and adulterer. He just raised the gasoline tax and given free medical to illegal aliens, encouraging more to flock to the country’s highest poverty level state. Good going jackass.
Whatever liberals accuse others of doing, that’s exactly what they are doing.
Ah, the urine-soaked streets around the many homeless camps. Free needles everywhere. Pick up all the needles you need on the ground and share in the joy - it’s infectious! It’s very hep, I mean hip.
CA continues to have a net decline in population as conservatives and independents flee the state (BTW: Peoples Pundit pollster Rich Baris has repeatedly shown the people leaving are more conservative than the voters in the states they move into-thats why Fl is now more conservative)-Newsome is just bolstering his lefty credentials for presidential run
LOL.
5.56mm
Is this for real? “Join us in California?” LMAO
Florida should be happy to get rid of anyone who is stupid enough to believe this.
