The White House doubled down on President Biden’s warning that Americans will have to cope with high gas prices for “as long as it takes” for Ukraine to defeat Russia’s invasion — with a top economic adviser to the president saying that the future of the “liberal world order” depends on it.
During an appearance on CNN Thursday, National Economic Council director Brian Deese was asked by anchor Victor Blackwell: “What do you say to those families who say, ‘Listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years. This is just not sustainable’?”
“What you heard from the president today was a clear articulation of the stakes,” Deese answered. “This is about the future of the liberal world order and we have to stand firm.

That makes about as much sense as printing trillions of dollars to fight inflation.

Really? That's your reason for high gas prices? Then have President Dufus answer these:
What would happen to the spot price of distillate fuels if:
1) he reversed the EO that killed the XL Pipeline?
2) he reversed the EO that severely restricted federal oil leases on land and offshore?
3) he told the EPA and other permitting bureaucracies to cut the time taken to issue permits to 2 months?
4) he told the EPA it cannot pass laws without the oversight of Congress
5) he told Congress to start working on laws that benefit US citizens instead of just themselves?
Because nobody in the press or the Republican party will call them out on it.
