Bed Bath & Beyond is making its customers and employees sweat these days.

“It’s not surprising that they might look for incremental ways to save money, because the sales trends are not going in their favor,” said M Science analyst, John Tomlinson. “Our data looks pretty negative” for the company and “people are clearly expecting sales to be weak tomorrow.”

Bed Bath & Beyond and Others Drop 'Underperforming' MyPillow, Controversial CEO Lashes Out
People | By Hannah Chubb
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a passionate Trump supporter who has made baseless claims of election fraud, told PEOPLE he thinks the companies are acting "all in fear"
Several home goods stores will no longer be selling MyPillow, and controversial CEO Mike Lindell is claiming it's because of his political views.
Lindell, 59 an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, who has faced backlash for echoing the former president's baseless claims that the election was "stolen," recently appeared on conservative outlet Right Side Broadcasting Network, where he told host Brian Glenn that he believes retailers are afraid of being "canceled" for partnering with him.

In the short run they’ll save money on AC... in the long run customers will stay away. Short term benefits, long term disaster is the recipe for bankruptcy...
The retailer denied it is penny-pinching on utility costs. “We’ve been contacted about this report, and to be clear, no Bed Bath & Beyond stores were directed to adjust their air conditioning and there have been no corporate policy changes in regard to utilities usage,” the company told The Post on Tuesday.
So it is not confirmed that this is really happening, or if some store simply had A/C problems.
Bed Bath & Heat Stroke
Go woke, go broke.
They dropped Ivanka products too, as they went never-Trump and
all-in on vaccine mandates, etc.
Very poor business decisions.
I hope any retailers indulging in these practices will realize they are doing it to themselves. Consumers will react & not in a pleasant way. Maybe some day down the road they will realize turning off the A/C was a mistake (along with other decisions). When they wake up & decide to turn the A/C back on, it may or may not work. I guess it may not matter, if customers don’t return anyway.

Sue Gove, board member and chair of the board’s strategy committee, has been named interim CEO, replacing Tritton — who also vacated his position on the board.
Shares of the company were down 13.3% in pre-market trading on June 29 and are down 56.9% year-to-date.
Them dropping Lindell is why I quit going there. Maybe alienating half their customer base was not a good idea?
Yep, bad business decisions tainted by Left wing politics seems to be the cause of their problems. Oh well.
We didn't have AC at home or in the schools.
An attic fan in your home was a life saver.
Just ordered fro MyPillow from the air conditioned comfort of my home. Their stinky stuffy stores cannot close any too soon.
I hope they go out of business and file Chapter 7. When woke businesses chose to take sides, and so I.
Go woke, go broke. Dropping Lindell is the kiss of death. That’s their long term problem. I hope the same happens to Walmart. I made my last trip to Walmart at the height of the pandemic. The had portable lighting in the parking lot and loud speakers blaring about bull shit health safety procedures. Big retail got to stay open in Pennsylvania as Governor Wolf deemed them as essential. Small business had to close operations. Eff Walmart. Eff Bed Bath and Beyond. They will never get a dime of my money.
Boy, they weren't kidding...
they aren’t baseless claims. Nor does Trump or anyone know if Trump won. We do know that there was a lot of election laws broken, and plenty of evidence of vote fraud and ballot harvesting, including here in Wisconsin.
90 degrees and equal humidity outside. Let’s turn off the air conditioning so that it will be hotter inside than outside. Yep, a sure fire way to cut costs and draw in more customers so they can be hotter and sweatier than the are passing by to another business who keeps the A/C on to lure in customers.
