Former President Donald Trump’s lead Secret Service agent is reportedly ready to testify that testimony given by a former White House staffer on Wednesday to the January 6 House select committee is false. Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, claimed that Trump on the day of the January 6 rally tried to get Secret Service to take him to the U.S. Capitol building, and that he became enraged when they would not do it because the area was not secure. Hutchinson claimed that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the armored presidential limousine and that Bobby Engel, who was the lead security detail, had to tell him, “Sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel.” Hutchinson claimed that Trump then lunged at and assaulted the agent. NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander tweeted, “A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.”

Why would he be in the front seat? In the photos I’ve seen, he’s behind the front seat which he’s too portly to lunge over.
So what should be done to Cassidy? She was under oath, but did she really lie? Let’s hear from her sources of her story. Will they lie under oath? What should happen to everyone on the Jan 6th commission? I know what I’d like see done, but that violates FR posting guidelines.

He wasn’t in the front seat. He wasn’t even in the beast. They used the Suburban SUV that day.
I hope Bobby Engel and the driver have very good security.

According to radio news, she was not even in the car, so her tale is based on ‘something she heard elsewhere’ — rumor.
That is how desperate the J6 committee is — they are manufacturing a narrative, and it still falls apart.

In lieu of the usual afternoon soap operas today, the J6 conducted its own soap opera.
This is silly. You can’t drive a car with just the wheel. Trump would never stoop so low as to touch a steering wheel. He’s been in limos all his adult life and doesn’t even have a drivers license.

No, she actually different. She was supposedly only repeating things that someone else told her. She was not presenting it as in her own personal knowledge. It was ALL HEARSAY. Repeating hearsay under oath is not lying even if the hearsay statement was untrue.
This is why hearsay is generally not allowed in a real court.
That’s exactly what he is doing. These attacks are on us, not Trump. Ultra, King MAGA is our shield.
