The Supreme Court’s Abortion Decision Does Not Change the Midterms
Red State ^ | Jun 25, 2022 | Jeff Charles

Posted on 06/25/2022 7:17:25 PM PDT by T Ruth

I predicted previously that the overturning of Roe v. Wade would not affect the outcome of the upcoming midterm Congressional elections. I still stand by that prediction, now that the Supreme Court has handed down its ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson. Nevertheless, folks on both sides of the aisle appear to believe that this development could increase Democrats’ chances of avoiding a total shellacking in November.

Now that Republicans have succeeded in overturning Roe, some have surmised that this could be a pyrrhic victory that comes back to haunt them later. Republican strategists told Politico that they are concerned that the court’s ruling might adversely impact the outcome of the upcoming congressional elections.

“This is not a conversation we want to have,” said John Thomas, one of the strategists. “We want to have a conversation about the economy. We want to have a conversation about Joe Biden, about pretty much anything else besides Roe … This is a losing issue for Republicans.”

***

“You go to any diner in America, and nobody’s talking about this,” said Dave Carney, a national Republican strategist. “That’s not what’s driving the conversation. Real people, working people, people who vote, are talking about the incompetence of the president, and then they go down the list of six or seven things.”

***

Democrats, for their part, escalated their rhetoric after the decision was handed down on Friday. When the court’s draft opinion was leaked in May, they began laying the groundwork for the campaign they would launch once the ruling was issued. Now, they are engaging in a full-court press to excoriate the overturning of Roe and using alarmist talking points to rile up their voting base.

1. Few outside of Hollywood, corporate media, and Democrat propagandists are lit up about this issue.

2. The people who should be motivated and mobilized are the anti-abortion activists. Before Dobbs, it did not much matter what your state representatives did, they could not make serious laws against abortion on account of Roe v. Wade. But now they can. So all of a sudden it matters who you send to the State legislature. Anti-abortionists had better get active.

But than again maybe not!

Does anyone think these people out there on the streets were
going to vote for Republicans anyway? Let’s get real. These
people have never considered Conservatives worthy of living
at any time in their lives. It’s safe to say we don’t lose one
vote over this.

Such an important decision will obviously change things. It will be hard to figure out the actual amount until we have actual voting again.

They always forget that the pro-life movement is composed of millions of women, their husbands, or boyfriends. This only makes a difference to those who are already abortion fanatics, and they were going to vote Media-Dem Party anay how.

You mean 5 long months of republicans mismanaging the message as they were not prepared for it in the first place the way leftists are!

I still wonder why rapists are not punished charged with murder for forcing a woman pregnant and to abort…. The hypocrites in Congress have plenty of dead baby skeletons in their closet, both sides. Republicans are mad they cnanot profit from it the way Democrats can…

I call kabuki theater foul.

It’s the economy right on into November no doubt about it and Biden will pay for it.

This ruling isn’t first and foremost in most people’s minds right now.

I think you are right. The out-of-touch GOPe consultants in Washington may be worried, or they may just be trolling for business.

In the world of lions, the male rapes the female to force her pregnant. In the world of perverted narcissistic democrat men, said rapist is protected by abortion privacy from being charged with murder for forcing a woman pregnant and her progeny killed.

There may be some RINO women who will fold, but I question if
they might not have anyway.

Yeah but you have to take into consideration that the majority were deflated and depressed over the situation with Biden gas and grocery prices and inflation etc. Manny we’re just gonna stay home now they’ve got a purpose to go out and vote. And let me tell you the rats are notorious for squeezing every drop out of a situation that comes their way for their convenience and for votes to keep them in power! Make no mistake they’re gonna use every tool at their disposal to stay in power. My prediction the rats and Schumer will keep the Senate and the republicans will win congress by a hair. It’s not gonna be the red wave everybody was predicting no way no how specially after the Roe vs Wade ruling and the gun red flag bill.

We shall see. I’m certainly not 100.0% with my
predictions. I still think we’re going to do
very well. In a few days the recession label will
be hanging around Biden’s neck. And if it isn’t,
folks are going to suspect there was a big effort
to obstruct that designation.

People are feeling it in their pocket books. I
think they’ll vote pocket book.
