“And we stand ready to work with other arms of the federal government that seek to use their lawful authorities to protect and preserve access to reproductive care. In particular, the FDA has approved the use of the medication Mifepristone. States may not ban Mifepristone based on disagreement with the FDA’s expert judgment about its safety and efficacy.

“Furthermore, federal agencies may continue to provide reproductive health services to the extent authorized by federal law. And federal employees who carry out their duties by providing such services must be allowed to do so free from the threat of liability. It is the Department’s longstanding position that States generally may not impose criminal or civil liability on federal employees who perform their duties in a manner authorized by federal law. Additionally, the Department’s Office of Legal Counsel has determined that federal employees engaging in such conduct would not violate the Assimilative Crimes Act and could not be prosecuted by the federal government under that law. The Justice Department is prepared to assist agencies in resolving any questions about the scope of their authority to provide reproductive care.

— I have never in all my life seen such a renegade government.

Yes we have.

I believe it included some poor kid in a white shirt standing in front of a tank.

... or maybe it was that church down in Mt. Carmel, TX. Literally can’t tell the difference anymore.

I think we will see Biden retaliate against the most restrictive states by shutting off their access to federal health care funds.

Look to the example of Rome. From a Republic to an empire then disintegration. We may not be a direct comparison, but decline into corrupt despotism, lawlessness and cultural collapse is the same.

100% I feel as though I reside in Roman-occupied first century Jerusalem.
The perverted overlords want to squish me like a bug.

No you don’t get it. We are the party. Not some mythical “thing”, it’s me, you and Joe Blow down the street. IT’S UP TO US TO FIX THINGS.

Nobody in the RNC or GOP will do anything without prompting and participation from us. The days of the Calvary riding in to save the unengaged is over if it ever existed. Time to do some heavy lifting.

Check my posts for advice how to help.

Merrick Garland if he had been a DemocRAT politician in the 1950s:

========================================

Attorney General Merrick B. Garland Statement on Supreme Court Ruling in Brown v. Board of Education

Today, the Supreme Court overturned Plessy v. Ferguson and held that our God-given right to segregate Americans on the basis of race is no longer protected by the Constitution.

The Supreme Court has eliminated an established right that has been an essential component of the white people's liberty for half a century – a right that has safeguarded inferior Negros from being able to participate fully and equally in society.

And in renouncing this fundamental right, which it had repeatedly recognized and reaffirmed, the Court has upended the doctrine of stare decisis, a key pillar of the rule of law!

The Justice Department strongly disagrees with the Court’s decision. This decision deals a devastating blow to racial harmony the United States!

We stand ready to work with other arms of the federal government that seek to use their lawful authorities to protect and preserve segregation of the races!

Furthermore, federal agencies may continue to provide segregated services to the extent authorized by federal law. And federal employees who carry out their duties by providing such services must be allowed to do so free from the threat of liability. It is the Department’s longstanding position that States generally may not impose criminal or civil liability on federal employees who continue to segregate races in a manner authorized by federal law.

Additionally, the Justice Department is prepared to assist agencies in resolving any questions about the scope of their authority to segregate Americans on the basis of race!

Finally, I say, to hell with the Supreme Court!!! Segregation today, Segregation tomorrow, Segregation forever!

It’s not the federal employees (women seeking abortion), Merrick. It’s the PROVIDERS. Unless you’re gonna try and protect them, too with your BS reasoning.

Hey, here’s an idea, you rabid, leftist ghoul. Why don’t you build abortion clinics on Federal Property? Build federally owned abattoirs right on ‘your’ own property? Why not? You’re already operating your enforcement and punishment arms of your corrupt department with DCs Abu Ghraib Gulag and the brown shirt FBI violently menacing any Administration political opposition.

Do it. And one day we’ll see you up on charges for mass murder and crimes against the citizenry.

The Biden Administration can actually do that.

Just declare that every VA hospital in the US will do abortions.

Yes, he could ‘order’ it. But that, too, would be problematic in that VA services are supposedly only for veterans. Providing abortions to any woman without veteran status or having served would be equivalent to just opening up the gates and having the VA treat illegal aliens - anybody. It would be a bad move, IMO.

I’d think they’d try something like building abortion clinics at some other agency like NHS, NIH, etc.

Would not surprise me if they institute a federal ban on morning after, just to create more chaos.

**********

Sorry to say this but that’s pure BS. Money talks in DC and big money gets what it wants.

The RNC and GOP do whatever the big money groups tell it to do. Trust me, from the moment a rep arrives on the Hill the fundraising never stops.

They pay a lot of lip service to placating the base, and make a lot of promises, but that’s a side show. Its ultimately money that lubricates the system. And that torrent of money comes into DC from all manner of places.

The point is its very hard to fix things when the underlying system is so dependent on big money. Do you understand that basic problem? You have to understand you’re fighting against a deeply entrenched and powerful political machinery. Those same forces successfully resisted much of what Donald Trump wanted to do. That’s the reality of what we’re up against. Some textbook’s notions of the political process isn’t how the system really works.

Party leadership is critical and its not going anywhere. The same people will still be in charge. And the main reason they are is because the are big cogs in the DC money machine.
