Liberal Twitter users have taken to the platform to blast the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg following the court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday.
While a number of journalist lay the blame at former President Trump who got to appoint three conservative justices during his time in the White House, things took a surprising turn when attention shifted to RBG.
Several users saw it fit to blame the late Supreme Court Justice for the court's landmark decision on abortion with some suggesting that had she decided to step down sooner while President Obama was in office, she would have been replaced in turn with a liberal justice.
When Ginsburg died in September of 2020 at the age of 87 her vacancy allowed , Trump to nominate conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett to take her place.

The left are generally stupid people who think they are intellectuals. It’s utterly pathetic.
Lol! Sucks for all the smug Tigglypuffs with their RBG tattoos đ

Also thanks to Obama for not recess appointing Garland or whoever to replace Scalia, your inaction and failed presidency helped make this moment a reality
The Notorious D-E-A-D.
President Trump, what a one term President. Promise delivered. In all my memory about recent presidential elections, all GOP candidates did not even say they would overturn roe v wade. My feeling these years was this ruling is to stay forever
Then come Trump. He said in 2016 he would appoint justices to overturn roe v wade. To me, that was just way too bold campaign promise.
Today I am in awe. The overturn of roe v wade is the promise delivery of century
“...all because she wanted to make hisotry of having the first woman President (Hillary) appointing a female judge to replace the first female judge.”
Pardon?
Sandra Day O’Connor was the first female SCJ nominated by Reagan.
Ginsburg was nominated by Clinton.
The first female Federal Judge was Genevieve Rose Cline who was appointed to the Customs Court (now the Court of International Trade) by President Calvin Coolidge in 1928.
I think, in effect, yes, it was 5-4.
The Mississippi law in question was upheld 6-3, but four justices implacably opposed overturning the precedents in question.
The Chief Justice apparently saw a way to narrow Roe and Casey to bring about the desired result (preserving the validity of the Mississippi law), but could not persuade his five colleagues that his reasoning was sound or viable, so was left with a concurring opinion (agreeing that the Misdissippi law should be upheld, but not on the reasons why) and nobody to join him in that concurring opinion (the other justices (united in dissent) agreeing with him that Roe and Casey should be preserved, but, unlike him, ALSO believing that the Mississippi law should be struck down).
“the first female judge”
Sandra Day O’Connor.
(Sorry about the quibble. Your point is well taken.)
Thank you for the explanation. I haven’t followed closely, but I knew many FReepers would.
Thank you for correcting me.
A BS decision that she agreed with because it was seen by RBG and her friends as a tool to reduce the number of people falling in a certain category not white.
I’m surprised it took this long. She was sick when Obama was POTUS. RBG cared more about her work on the Court than what would happen if she died during a GOP POTUS’s Admin. Of course, she probably assumed Hillary would win in 2016...
RBG was a nobody when Clinton nominated her. Her expertise was in the area of civil procedure, which is Zzzzzzzzzzz... Literally everyone’s commie ConLaw professor could have done what she did. She was a nothing. Notorious RBG is the worst forced meme of all time.
YW.
